Yarn:
Coton Fifty 50g/152 yds (140m) (50% cotton, 50% acrylic)
White : (9-10-11-12) skeins

Notions:
US 1 ½ and US 2 ½ (2.5 and 3 mm) needles
Cable needle
5 buttons

Stitches used:
2X2 rib with US 1½
Fantasy Stitch with US 2½
C5B (sl 2 sts to cn and hold to back, k3, k2 from cn)
C5F (sl 3 sts to cn and hold to front, k2, k3 from cn)

Gauge:
27 sts + 37 rows = 4” in Fantasy stitch with US 2½ needle

BACK:
Cast on 122-134-144-156 sts with 1½’s.
Work 12 rows (1¼”) in 2X2 rib.

Work in Fantasy Stitch with US 2½ as follows (starting at row 1):


Sizes 1 and 3: k3 (ninth st of pattern row 1)
Sizes 2 and 4: p2 (third st of pattern row 1)
11th row
Sizes 1 and 3: k5 instead of 2
Sizes 2 and 4: p4, C5B, then follow the pattern.

Armholes:
At 32-33-33-34 cm (120-124-124-128 rows) from beg, cast off on
each side on every second row as follows:
Size 1: 3 sts twice, 2 sts twice, 1 st 4 times.
Size 2: 3 sts twice, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 4 times.
Size 3: 3 sts twice, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 5 times.
Size 4: 3 sts twice, 2 sts 4 times, 1 sts 5 times.

(94-102-110-118) sts.

Shoulders and neck:


At (18-19-21-22 cm) high for armholes, cast off on each side every
second row as follows:
Size 1: 6 sts 3 times, 7 sts once.
Size 2: 7 sts 4 times.
Size 3: 8 sts 3 times, 7 sts once.
Size 4: 8 sts 3 times, 9 sts once.
AT THE SAME TIME, cast off the (28-30-32-36) center sts, then on
each side every second row: 3 sts twice, 2 sts once.

LEFT FRONT
With US 1½ needles, CO (60-66-71-77) sts.
Work 12 rows (1 ¼“) in 2X2 rib.
Then continue in Fantasy Stitch as for back.

Armhole and shoulder:


Work on the right side as for back.

Neck:
At (32-33-33-34) cm from beg, decrease on the left (when you have
the last 3 sts on the left needle, k2tog, and k1):
Size 1: 1 st 16 times every second and fourth row, 1st 5 times every
4th row.
Size 2: 1 st 16 times every second and fourth row, 1 st 6 times every
4th row.
Size 3: 1 st 14 times every second and fourth row, 1 st 9 times every
4th row.
Size 4: 1 st 16 times every second and fourth row, 1 st 9 times every
4th row.
RIGHT FRONT
Complete as for left front, but work the armhole, shoulder, and neck
shaping opposite.
For all sizes, begin Fantasy Stitch at the first row by k7, then the 5th
st of the pattern, and for the 11th row, begin with p2, C5B then the
5th st of the pattern.

SLEEVES (work both the same)


With US 1½ needles, CO (58-60-64-66) sts.
Work 12 rows (1¼“) in 2X2 rib.

With US 2 ½ needles, work in Fantasy Stitch Chart as follows:


Size 1: k4 (the first st is the 8th st of the 1st row)
Size 2: k5 (the first st is the 7th of the 1st row)
Size 3: k7 (the first st is the 5th of the 1st row)
Size 4: p1 instead of p4 (the first st is the 4th of the first row)

Beginning with the 9th row, increase as follows:


Size 1: 1 st 15 times every 8th row, 1 st twice every 6th row.
Size 2: 1 st 14 times every 8th row, 1 st 4 times every 6th row.
Size 3: 1 st 8 times every 8th row, 1 st 1twice every 6th row.
Size 4: 1 st twice every 8th row, 1 st 20 times every 6 row.

at 41-42-42-42 cm from casting on, begin decrease on each side every


second row
Size 1: 3 sts twice, 2 sts twice, 1 st 15 times, 2 sts 3 times, 3 sts
twice.
Size 2: 3 sts twice, 2 sts twice, 1 st 17 times, 2 sts 3 times, 3 sts
twice.
Size 3: 3 sts twice, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 17 times, 2 sts 4 times, 3 sts
twice.
Size 4: 3 sts twice, 2 sts 4 times, 1 st 18 times, 2 sts 4 times, 3 sts
twice.

Cast off rem 18 sts.

FRONT EDGING
(Worked in two parts)
With US 1½ needles, CO (146-152-158-164) sts for one front and
(194-202-210-218) sts for second front and back neck.
Work in 2X2 rib for 10 rows (1”), place all sts on holder except for the
right front (109-114-114-119) sts. Continuing in rib, make 5
buttonholes of 2 sts each, the first one at 4 sts from the bottom, the
others spaced at (19-20-20-21) sts.
FINISHING
Sew the sides and the sleeves.
Sew front edgings along the fronts and the back neck using backstitch
through the live sts.
Sew buttons.
