Between 2007 and 2010, the three-year average dropout rate among First Nations
people living off-reserve, Métis and Inuit aged 20 to 24 was 22.6%, compared with
8.5% for non-Aboriginal people. Among young off-reserve First Nations people
(North American Indians), the dropout rate was 25.8%, and for Métis, 18.9%.
