Higher education
Institutions listed in this document are examples of
universities and management institutes which have
recognised the IVQs in Engineering as meeting the level of
skills and knowledge required for entry into relevant
undergraduate degree programmes, with the possibility of
exemptions.
Recognition means that applications from holders of
appropriate certificates will normally be considered for
admission, provided that all other academic and non-
academic requirements, including their English language
proficiency, are met.
Successful completion of levels indicated in the list does
not guarantee admission.
Professional associations
Professional associations listed here have recognised the
IVQs in Engineering for membership purposes or as granting
exemptions from certain professional examinations.

Accredited qualifications do not require the holder to be

license from the EC(UK), IIE cannot accredit qualifications in
isolation, only at the invitation of a
college or University where the qualifications are
delivered. Negotiations have also started in an effort to
agree a suitable set of criteria to make the accreditation
of City & Guilds IVQs much more straightforward.
