MCC was born into the modern world as a response to exclusion, rejection & discrimination; its identity is
tightly interwoven with the story of the Jesus movement͙ a movement that attempted to confront the
world͛s cruelty, so similar to that which we experience today, a world in which there is no place for people
who are different & in whose view the great majority fall outside of access to rights &opportunities: the
poor, women, children, those who are ill & aliens.‘
