CENTRIFUGAL PUMP SPECIFICATION


1. GENERAL BASIS

1.1. SITE
The equipment subject to this document to be purchased will be lime kiln unit. It is integrated
in SSL. plant area which is located in Lukavac approximately. 12 km away from TUZLA Canton
at Bosnia Herzegovina.

1.2. LOCAL CONDITIONS


SSL Plant is located in Lukavac 130 km away from capital Sarajevo,BiH.

2. SCOPE
2 ( two ) complete set of pump including the motor and auxilarry drive units and all necessary
accessories. Supplier shall also give necessary drawings and/or technical specifications
relevant to the surrounding installations including but not limited to inlet-exit connections,
frames,couplings,lubricating oil, cooling system ( if necessary ), instruments, protective
equipment, .etc.

3. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
3.1. USAGE
Pump will be installed on the Lime kiln unit and used for transport of milled waste

4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The vendor shall assume unit responsibility for all the equipment and all auxilliary systems
included in the scope of the order.
All accesories of the same duty condition and classification, shall be identical and the product
of the same manufacturing source.
In case of a need for parallel-pump operation, pumps selected shall have characteristics
specifically suitable for the service without unstable operation.

All materials shall be suitable for indicated operating conditions and shall be selected corrosion

and erosion resistant to the specified local conditions ( alkali environment ).


Pump performance data ( pump curve ) shall be given and pump foundation data shall be
submitted.
Pump : Design, fabrication, testing, and performance of pumps shall be in accordance with
latest edition of API or ANSI/ASME or ISO standards and Appendix and shall meet or exceed
the requirements as specified herein.

Pump seals shall be cartridge type ( packed box ) or have the manufacturer's standard
mechanical seals for the specified service over the fluid defined in this document.
Packing shall be soft woven non-asbestos material with not less than 25 percent by weight of
tetrafluoroethylene resin.

Pump shall be suitable for operation at indicated operating conditions with indicated fluid.
Pump shall be suitable for operation at indicated temperature without vapor binding and without
cavitation under any system operating condition.

Pump shall be capable of at least 5% head increase at rated conditions by replacement of


impeller with one(s) of larger diameter or different hydraulic design,variable speed capability.
Motor : Design, fabrication, testing, and performance of motor shall be in accordance with IEC
60034 and ISO 1940-1 and shall meet or exceed the requirements as specified herein
Protection and insulation Class of motors shall be IP 55 and Class F respectively
Special Requirements : Connection between the motor and the pump shaftr shall be V-belt
type.

5. REQUIRED TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS

Factory Tests

The following tests shall be submitted from the manufacturer prior to shipping the pump from the
factory, hydraulic tests, efficiency tests, vibration tests, output efficiency tests, surface
hardness tests, and shaft deflection tests.

TECHNİCAL DRAWİNGS AND İNSTRUCTİONS


Technical drawing and instructions should be regularly delivered in order to prevent any
interruption of the realization of the project. Technical drawings including bu no limited to
construction, mechanical and electrical installation, instrumentation, break apart isometrics etc.
should be in Autodesk AutocadTM format (*.dwg) on three CD copies. Three hard copies (at least
1:50 scale) should also be provided.
All kind of drawings and maintenance dimensions shall be in SI units.
CONSTRUCTION
Drawings with a scale of 1:50 showing the main outer dimensions and all connections should be
enclosed to the offer. Supplier should give below mentioned information within 2 weeks after the
sign of the contract to enable SSL to make the necessary preparations for base plate such as
foundation and anchoring, frame, cabling and control panel ,construction and other projects before
installation of the equipment if necessary.

 Main dimensions
 Static and dynamic loads

MECHANICAL
Drawings with a scale of 1:50 showing the main outer dimensions and all connections should
be enclosed to the offer. Last revised drawings of the equipment showing the main outer
dimensions and all connections.
- Material standards used during the manufacturing of the equipment.
- Cross-sectional drawings of mechanical equipment covering identification of spare parts
norms.
- Manufacturing drawings of necessary spare parts.

ELECTRICAL
- Technical characteristic sheets those are belonging to electric motors should be enclosed
to the offer.

INSTRUMENTATION
- P&I diagram showing the type of process control should be enclosed to the offer.

MANUALS FOR INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE


The following documentation should be provided at a convenient time, before or upon delivery.
Documents should be in AdobeTM PDF format on three CDs, as well as three sets of hard
copies:
- Transportation and storage instructions.
- Installation instructions.
- Painting, insulation, corrosion control and technical safety instructions.
- Operating instructions.
- Maintenance and lubrication instructions.
- Test certificates and protocols.

6. TESTS AND CONTROLS


The bidders should clearly mention the type of quality control and kinds of test certificates and
protocols to be applied in their offer. Supplier will inform SSL the date of final tests and
controls to be applied before two weeks. Then SSL will inform supplier whether SSL wants to
attend to tests and controls to be applied within one week. If SSL does not want to attend to
tests and controls to be applied or gives no reply within one week then supplier will carry out
tests and controls by himself. SSL’s attendance to final tests and controls does not even partly
free supplier’s responsibility from performance and other guaranties.

7. PACKING AND DELIVERY


Delivery period and conditions have to be indicated in the offer principally.
Supplier should inform SSL about given details below one month before each delivery:
- Value of the goods.
- Items (parts) to be shipped.
- Weight (gross and net) and dimension of each packing.
- Place of loading.

All equipment should be so packed as to provide maximum protection and easy manipulation
and safety transportation with security.
Each packing should be marked as “SSL doo/BiH” and materials contained in each packing
and their weights should be clearly identified on each packing.
All packing charges should be included in the offer.

8. REQUIRED GUARANTEES
Guarantees to be clearly indicated in the offer are given below:
- Guarantee type and period against material and/or manufacturing defaults.
- Supplier should remove any material and/or manufacturing defaults by replacing and/or
repairing free of charge within the shortest time. This period should not exceed one month.
- Supplier should give performance guarantee that the equipment they have offered will
operate at the predetermined capacity, efficiency and accuracy limits and should clearly
indicate the guarantee conditions in their offer.
- Suppier should give a guarantee to supply for each spare part appeared in the spares list
throughout the specified service life. Delivery period of each item should also appear on the
list.

9. PRICE
The equipment to be offered should be priced as for pump and motor separately. Equipment
will be offered as delivered to SSL’s site.
Spare parts recommended for 2 years of operation should be enclosed to the offer separately
each of piece’s price.
Erection, supervision and start-up services should be included in the offer and each be quoted
separately.

10. ASSEMBLY
Assembly and/or installation and commissioning of the equipment shall be done in two
alternatives:
- Either the technical service team of the supplier shall carry out all work except for civil
ones (preparation of foundation, cabling,anchors and mounting base) or,
- SSL (or his subcontractor) shall do it under the supervision of an expert working for the
supplier.
In both cases, at least one expert should be available at SSL site. The expert shall make
necessary inspections prior to commissioning.

11. REFERENCES
Bidders shall provide for their portfolio indicating companies in chemical or mining industries to
which they have already sold similar equipment as reference, if available.
