22 Introduction to IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas

IBM Maximo for Oil and
Gas database tables and
columns
3
IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas contains new oil and gas-specific database tables,
and it adds oil and gas-specific columns to the Maximo Asset Management
database tables.

For a list of tables and columns that are unique to IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas,
see Database Tables and Columns in the IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas
Information Center. The list of tables and columns includes data type and column
length, and indicates whether columns are required.

After you install Maximo for Oil and Gas, you can run SQL queries to generate
information about these tables and columns. Use the following SQL statements,
modified as needed:

To list all oil and gas-specific columns:

select objectname, attributename, required, maxtype, length

from maxattribute
where (attributename like 'PLUSG%' or objectname like 'PLUSG%')
order by objectname, attributename;

To list all persistent oil and gas-specific columns:

select objectname, attributename, required, maxtype, length

from maxattribute
where (attributename like 'PLUSG%' or objectname like 'PLUSG%')
and persistent = 1
order by objectname, attributename;

The names of new oil and gas-specific tables begin with PLUSG, as do the names
of the new columns in the Maximo Asset Management database tables. The
following table contains examples of oil and gas-specific columns in the new and
existing database tables.
