JANUARY
VIDEOCONFERENCES  WITH  THE  GPS.  The  RPS  
and  the  Regional  Secretary  had  videoconferences  
with  the  GPS  and  Fr.  Edgardo  Barrameda  last  Jan-­‐
uary  4,  7:30pm,  and  last  January  21,  6:00pm.

RPC   MEETING.   The   Regional   Priest   Council   had  


a   meeting   last   January   11-­‐12   at   Mother   Ignacia  
Healing  Center,  Bagumbong,  Caloocan  City.

PARISH  EXPOSURE.  The  three  Thai  Seminarians  


undergoing  exposure  in  the  Philippines  were  as-­‐
signed   to   Parish   Exposure   from   January   15   to  
February   28.   Wachai   Duehae,   Thannithi   (An-­‐ Lady  of  the  Most  Holy  Rosary  in  Badian,  Parish  of  St.  
thony)   Witthayadechoset   and   Sompot   (Thomas)   Joseph  the  Worker  in  Villahermosa  and  Parish  of  Sta.  
Charoensook  were  assigned  to  the  Parish  of  Our   Florentina  in  Rapu-­‐Rapu,  respectively.

DEMISE  OF  KAPAMILYA.  Leonardo,  brother  of  Sr.  Ma-­‐


bel  Enaje,  met  his  Creator  last  January  11.  The  RPS,  
Rev.  Francis  Quan  Ngoc  Le,  Sisters  and  Lay  members  
attended  the  Mass  during  the  burial  of  his  remains  on  
January  16,  1:00pm.
Esperanza,   grandmother   of   Sr.   Ma.   Gabriela   Di-­‐
oneda,  met  her  Creator  last  January  20.  

VOCAD.  The  Vocation  Team  conducted  Vocation  Ani-­‐


mation  Days  last:  January  18  at  San  Antonio  De  Padua  
Parish  in  Milaor  with  participants  from  Sagrada,  Mi-­‐
nalabac,   Camarines   Sur;   January   19   at   San   Antonio  
de  Padua  Parish  in  Milaor  with  participants  from  the  
place;   and   last   January   22   at   Sacred   Heart   Mission  
Parish  in  Cabasan.

CLERICS  ATTEND  CONGRESS  OF  THE  CLERGY.  The  


clerics   of   the   Society   of   Our   Lady   in   the   Philippines  
attended  the  Second  National  Congress  of  the  Clergy  
held  at  the  World  Trade  Center,  Pasay  City,  last  Janu-­‐
ary  25-­‐29.

CLERGY  MEETING.  The  clerics  of  the  Society  of  Our  


Lady  in  the  Bicol  Area  gathered  for  a  meeting  last  
February  3-­‐4  at  the  Parish  of  Our  Lady  of  the  Most  
Holy  Rosary,  Badian,  Oas,  Albay.  
The  meeting  focused  mainly  on  the  discussions  
of  the  Program  on  Social  Apostolate  as  proposed  by  
Fr.   Efren   Borromeo,   Fr.   Pedro   Balde   and   Fr.   Oliver  
Estor,   the   Centralized   Summer   Apostolate   and   the  
Society   of   Our   Lady’s   position   on   to   the   threaten-­‐
ing  mining  in  Rapu-­‐Rapu.  During  the  meeting  too,  
Fr.  Fausto  Rodel  Malanyaon  was  elected  as  the  new  
Area  Coordinator.

RENEWAL   OF   SEMINARY   PERMIT.   The   RPS   sub-­‐


mitted  to  the  Commission  on  Higher  Education  Re-­‐
‰‹‘ƒŽ ˆϐ‹…‡  –Š‡ †‘…—‡–• ˆ‘” –Š‡ ƒ’’Ž‹…ƒ–‹‘
for   the   renewal   of   Government   Permit   of   the   Col-­‐
lege  Seminary  last  February  5.

Eighteen  days  later,  February  23,  Ms.  Jean-­‐Pau-­‐


lette   Salalima   visited   the   Seminary   for   validation.  
Present   during   this   event   was   the   Regional   Secre-­‐
tary-­‐delegate  of  the  RPS,  the  Seminary  Formators,  
Dean,  Librarian  and  Registrar.

FACILITATORS   WORKSHOP.   Fr.   Efren   Borromeo,  
Fr.  Pedro  Balde  and  Fr.  Oliver  Estor  initiated  a  Two-­‐
Day   Workshop   for   the   group   of   Facilitators   of   the  
proposed  Program  on  Social  Apostolate,  which  was  
held  last  February  6-­‐7  at  the  Fr.  Thomas  Gier’s  Hall  
(former   Lay   Center).   The   group   was   composed   of  
Sisters,  Formands  and  parishioners  who  represent-­‐
ed  each  parish  and  apostolic  and  formation  house.  
Rev.  Dick  Rocha  facilitated  the  event.
Right   after   the   event,   the   group   was   commis-­‐
•‹‘‡†ˆ‘”–Š‡‹”ƒ…–—ƒŽϐ‹‡Ž†™‘”•™Š‹…Š…‘•‹•–‘ˆ
surveys   and   consultations   in   their   respective   par-­‐
ishes   and   houses,   aided   by   the   scheduled   visits   of  
and  meetings  with  Fr.  Peds,  Fr.  Olive  and  Rev.  Dick  
to  each  of  the  aforementioned  areas.

SISTER  ARRIVED.  The  pioneering  Sr.  Ma.  Teresita  


Coloma  graced  the  Formation  Center  with  her  pres-­‐
ence  when  she  arrived  last  February  7.  She  left  for  
Manila  some  days  after.

COUNCIL  MEETINGS.  The  Priest  and  Joint  Regional  


Councils  gathered  for  a  meeting  last  February  9-­‐10  
at  the  Regionalate.  Fr.  Pedro  Balde  and  Fr.  Oliver  Es-­‐
tor  appeared  before  the  meeting  of  the  Joint  Council  
to   present   the   proposed   Program   on   Social   Apos-­‐
tolate.

DIALOGUE.   The   RPS   had   a   dialogue   with   Fr.   Gil  


Saligumba  last  February  9.

SPOUSAL.  Sr.  Ma.  Fatima  Borlaza  and  Sr.  Ma.  Ange-­‐


la  De  Mesa  made  their  Perpetual  Profession  of  the  
Vows  last  February  11,  10:00  am,  at  the  Holy  Family  
Parish  Church,  Putiao,  Pilar,  Sorsogon.  The  RPS-­‐del-­‐
egate   of   the   General   Sister   Servant,   presided   over  
the   celebration   of   the   Mass.   Fr.   Jose   Roger   Abalon  
was  the  preacher  during  the  celebration.

Malaiba,  Sr.  Ma.  Bella  Enaje,  Sr.  Ma.  Angela  de  Mesa,

Spirit   Cimanes   attended   the   Emotional   Wellness  
Sessions  on  Human  Intimacy  facilitated  by  Mr.  Ear-­‐
nest   Tan   last   February   12-­‐13   at   the   Divine   Word  
College   of   Legazpi   City.   The   facilitator   tackled   the  
Psychological   Dynamics   of   Personal   and   Interper-­‐
sonal  Relations,  and  the  Psycho-­‐spiritual  Approach-­‐
es  to  Accompanying  People.

VALENTINE   PARTY.   The   Formation   Center   resi-­‐
dents   gathered   in   front   of   the   Regionalate   for   an  
agape   on   the   eve   of   the   Valentine’s   Day,   February  
13.

BISHOP   VISITS.   Bishop   Lucilo   Quiambao   visited  


the  Formation  Center  residents  in  the  afternoon  of  
February  14.

VOCAD.   The   Vocation   Team   conducted   Vocation  


Animation   Days   last:   February   15   at   the   Parish   of  
San  Miguel,  Tabaco  City;  last  February  23  at  Pili  Na-­‐
tional  High  School,  Bacacay,  Albay;  and  last  Febru-­‐
ary  24  at  Zamora  Memorial  College,  Bacacay,  Albay.

RPS  TO  AUSTRALIA.  The  RPS  left  for  a  visit  to  Aus-­‐
tralia  and  audience  with  Bishop  David  Walker  last  
February  18.
