PROGRESSIVE SANCTIFICATION

We hear this term used often in a context that would imply that “sanctification” is a
work of man over time after that person has been converted. Is it? Let’s consider
what the scriptures say.

Jud 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are
sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
Jud 1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

Please note the word “sanctified” is past tense. Look at who sanctifies them. Yahweh. Let’s take a
look at the definition of the word. It is G-37 in the Strong’s concordance.

From G40; to make holy, that is, (ceremonially) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate: -
hallow, be holy, sanctify.

From ἅ γος hagos (an awful thing) compare G53, [H2282]; sacred (physically pure, morally
blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): - (most) holy (one, thing), saint

This is what Yahweh “has done” (past tense). Take a stroll through scriptures, and look at the
evidence with me, please……

Rom 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles,
ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be
acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Sanctified by the Holy Ghost, whom Yahweh gives to those who OBEY HIM. (Acts 5:32.)

1Co 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1Co 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1Co 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but
ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

All unrighteousness is sin. The unrighteous shall NOT inherit the kingdom of Yahweh. (Romans
14:17) but note verse 11, beloved. WASHED, SANCTIFIED, JUSTIFIED! All PAST TENSE!
So where does this sanctification occur. When we die to self, deny our self, crucify our members
and their carnal lusts. When we present ourselves to Yahweh as a living sacrifice. (Romans 12:1)
When we are crucified with Christ (Gal 2:20). Self is put to death, by faith, with the Savior. It is
submitted to Yahweh for death, that we may then live. No death, no life.

Sanctification happens at the CROSS, beloved. It is a work of Yahweh, just as justification is a


work of Yahweh. It becomes ours when we die, submit our life to Him, for His Lordship over us.
If He is not your LORD, He’s not your Savior. You have not be sanctified nor justified. If you die
at this moment you WILL BE LOST! Be not deceived!

2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto
honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good
work.

Faith submits to the CROSS. Those who die there are sanctified by HIM. Then and only then are
they meet for the Master’s use!!!! Then and only then are they fit for every good work! Glory!!!

Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one:
for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

One cannot be ONE with Yahweh, if self has not been to the cross. He will not inhabit an
UNHOLY TEMPLE!!!! No matter how hard you try, you will never be sanctified, holy, set apart,
because your flesh still rules and reigns in your life and heart. This is why people attempt to
explain away true sanctification. They make it a work of man instead of a work of Yahweh. It is
the only way they can account for the continued willful sin in their life.

Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

We become a partaker of His mercy and grace, the same place it was provided. AT THE
CROSS!!! If we do not first die there, we cannot be born again!

Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three
witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought
worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the
blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and
hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will
recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Those who despise Moses’ Law despise the Holy One Who wrote it in stone! To call me a legalist
is to call His Word and unholy thing. I make no apologies, it is what it is. Dare you trample His
blood underfoot with your continued willful sin? DARE YOU?

Sir, mam, it’s time to WAKE UP! Stop parroting what well meaning liars have told you all your
life and what to believe. You had better understand Yahweh’s true salvation plan NOW! while
there is still time to REPENT! ….or you will likewise PERISH!!!! Have YOU been CRUCIFIED
with the Savior? Are you dead to the world and the world dead to you? Are you? I pray that you
