ABSTRACT

Title: HOME AUTOMATION AND SECURITY SYSTEM USING GSM

Aim:
The aim of the project is to build the home automation and security system using
GSM.
Scope:
Most of the people now a days are interested for keeping security to their house and
also they are interested for having atomize their house (i.e., to control their utilities
remotely). This scenario is an impact of what we see about various robberies in our
vicinity and through media.

This prototype project is basically developed to solve above burning problem and also
to get customize the things automatically. This project also describes an investigation into
the potential for remote controlled operation of home automation systems. It considers
possible solutions through GSM technology and indicates how to optimize the use of
such systems. The home is an eternal, heterogeneous, distributed computing environment
which certainly requires a careful study before developing any suitable Home
Automation System (HAS) that will accomplish its requirements.

A GSM modem is interfaced to the microcontroller witch is used to This project can
also be implemented through various Network technologies like blue tooth module,
ZigBee module etc., also. This project also can be useful for security purpose. If any
person with permission enters into the house an immediate message is been sent to the
police dept, Owner, etc.
