Pastor’s Notes
It’s hard to believe, but 1/3
of this year is already
history. It feels to me like
time is flying at warp speed. That means
that we must continue to press towards all
that God has envisioned for us. If you
remember, the first several weeks of
January I preached a series of messages
entitled “Moving Forward”. I truly
believed that the Lord was saying to me and
to us that we had to move forward in what
He has planned for us. We fasted, prayed, attended revival services….you name it and
we’ve tried to do our part. However, we can’t do just one or two things and quit. WE
MUST CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD!!!! Part of that moving forward has to do
with our future out on our new property. We’ve tried to do things that draw people to that
place. Beautiful crosses are lighted at night to draw attention to the “emblem of suffering
and shame“. Nice benches have been placed there for anyone to come and sit at the altar
area and spend time in prayer. Different groups from the church have walked the
property, asking for God’s divine favor. Recently we had a sunrise service and
worshipped the Lord to celebrate the risen Savior!

Part of the reality of moving out there is the selling of our present church property
(Sanctuary & CLC). Papers have been signed with a Realtor and you’ll see some signs
when you drive onto the property. There have been short discussions in the last few
Board meetings concerning the building. I’ve personally met with the architect and
builder and have established relationships with them and discussed the building project.
WE ARE MOVING FORWARD!!!!!!

I know some may be apprehensive with the economy being like it is, BUT GOD OWNS
IT ALL!!!!! None of this has caught the Lord off guard! He is the arranger and director
of our lives and holds the key to our future. I still firmly believe that it’s very possible
for us to move out on that property in a brand new building DEBT FREE!!!!! Is
there anybody that can dream with me, have faith with me and pray for that to happen?

God has been so good to us!!!! Our finances have not suffered through these economic
times. Even though some of you have been faced with layoffs and cut hours, God has
continued to bless us. It is only through faithful and consistent giving is this possible. In
the last two years , we have been able to put into the building fund $255,616.26. This
number includes your gifts towards the building fund, special fundraising projects and
surplus tithes. Can somebody shout AMEN?!?!?!??!?!

If you ARE NOT a tither…. Let me encourage you to begin.

Tithing is giving 10% of your income to the Lord. Many think
they can’t afford to tithe. The truth is, YOU CAN’T AFFORD
NOT TO TITHE!!!!! The promise of the Lord is to rebuke the
devourer for your sake….to give to you once you give to
Him….to bless you. God never promised a two story house and 3 car garage. But He did
promise to supply all you NEED! My God is faithful!!!!

If you ARE a tither…… let me encourage you to continue being faithful to God. You
know the joy and benefits of tithing. I’d love to have some video testimonies of people
that are faithful tithers. Would you consider allowing us to set up a video camera and
video you giving a testimony about the blessings of the Lord in your life through tithing?
If you would, see me (Bro. Terry).

To everyone….. REMEMBER TO GIVE

TO THE BUILDING FUND!!!! I know that
we did an 18 month fund raising project
several years ago. Many of you were faithful
to that and you fulfilled your commitment.
THANK YOU!!!!!! You know what I’ve
done? After my commitment was up, I just
continued to give. I had gotten used to giving
that amount of money every week and I just
continue to do it. I can honestly say that I don’t be-grudge it and I feel good knowing that
I’m helping the church MOVE FORWARD!!!! Would you consider giving every week
or month? If you are already, please know how thankful we are for your giving!!!! If you
aren’t, just prayerfully seek the Lord for what He would have you do. I’M SO EXCITED
ABOUT WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS (and I’m not talking about WAY OUT
THERE).

Special thanks to our Senior Adult Ministry and the

“Primetimers Choir” for the outstanding job they did Sunday
evening. They seemed to enjoy themselves as they sang and the
congregation seemed to enjoy is as well. Also, special thanks to
Pastor Shealy for bringing the Word of God on Sunday evening.
What an awesome word….”Finish Well”. What a move of the
Spirit at the altar service, too! So thankful that people finally
heeding the Spirit’s call to come. Keep praying that people will be
sensitive to the Holy Spirit and not allow ANYTHING to keep them from responding
when He calls.
