THEME for the Year: Leveraging Resources to Achieve Equity Through High
Standards

LEARNING OBJECTIVES for the Year:


 Deepen understanding of how to strategically leverage scarce resources
to maximize impact on student learning and school improvement.
 Deepen understanding of how to promote system-wide coherence and
alignment around the instructional core.
 Deepen understanding of how to promote system-wide coherence and
alignment between high standards, curriculum, assessments of learning,
and professional learning.
 Deepen understanding of how to promote leadership at all levels that is
able to support system structures, culture, policies, and practices for
enabling all students to achieve high standards of learning.
 Expand knowledge of system structures, policies, and practices that
promote and sustain a commitment to “breaking the links” between race,
poverty, and educational outcomes.
 Deepen understanding of how to foster lateral and reciprocal evidence-
based accountability.
