adaptors to interact with external systems and perform high level
extraction, transformation, loading and consolidation of information.
The solution is unique in its ability to merge and match data between
different sources – e.g. it can take all the elements from each individual
system (which will have different customer data reqts) and merge them
into one – creating a “single customer” record within the repository. This
ensures a smooth and efficient approach when migrating the data into
the new system.

The solution keeps all data stored in one central repository, complete with
a powerful data dictionary stored as metadata. The metadata are used to
validate incoming data and to structure data in ways not easily possible in
traditional data stores. The metadata is also used for storing mapping
rules, used to import external data to the data repository or to export to
external data stores and/or formats.

The data transformation is defined using Validata Mapping Schemas

schemas are created using the Translation Wizard interface which allows
the users to define the transformation rules without writing a single line of
code. This allows non-technical people like business analysts to define,
maintain and supervise the data mapping and transformation.
The flexibility of the solution allows transformations to be performed
either as part of the data extraction process or as part of the data loading
process or both.

High Level Mapping

The high level mapping and transformation rules lower the build and
maintenance cost as it does not require technical skills. This also reduces
the risk as the data migration solution is fully transparent and can be easily
verified by business analysts.
The combination of data cleansing and mapping is essential for any
successful data migration and forms solid base for the extraction,
transformation and loading. Scheduling and Job Sequencing
The Validata solution provides the flexibility to import and export tasks

migration jobs can be scheduled for single execution at specified date and
time or as repetitive executions at specified time and day of the week.

Synchronization Service
The Synchronization Service performs real time synchronization of data
between two systems but it can also be used as one direction Extraction,
Transformation and Loading tool. The Synchronization Service is
monitored through a Control Panel integrated into the Validata
application. It can be used to control each extraction or loading process
separately.
The synchronization jobs are executed and controlled by the Manager
component, where there is a user interface for management of the
exceptions – reviewing the current exceptions and managing their status
(Open, In Progress, Resolved etc.).
