MedSpel Final Setup (Word 2007)


For earlier versions of Word, go to page 4 of this document.

1. Press the Office Button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

2. Select Word Options

3. In Word Options, select proofing

4. In Word Options > Proofing, select custom dictionaries

5. Add all the MedSpel dictionaries to the list. If they do not appear on the list,
select browse to locate them in the

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof

Folder (unless you have changed where the files were installed to).
Make sure all the MedSpel dictionaries are checked so that they are active.
Then click OK as many times as needed to return to the test document.

6. Go to page 6 for final testing instructions.

Final Setup

1. Select Tools, Spelling and Grammar (or press F7)

2. Select Options

3. Select Custom Dictionaries

4. Add all the MedSpel dictionaries to the list. If they do not appear on the list,
they are in the
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof
Folder (unless you have changed where the files were installed to).
Then click OK as many times as needed to return to the test document.

Save this document to the desktop (to make it easy to find)

Close Microsoft Word

Open this file (Test MedSpel.doc) with Microsoft Word

Check the spelling of this document. All the following words should not be
identified by the spell checker. If this fails, please repeat the final installation
steps.
