Pregnancy
Shalom Baby- A workshop for expectant parents- Enhance your
preparation for welcoming a new child into your family and the Jewish
community. Learn about values, customs and community resources
available to help as the family grows. Please watch the Shofar or
contact the office to find out about enrollment.
Birth- 6 months
Ima and Me- For mothers and infants (ages 0-4 months) to meet other
parents of newborns, have a space to be a new parent, share a nosh,
sing a little and ask questions of an early childhood educator.
Tuesdays at 11:00, this class runs for approximately 4 week sessions,
check the synagogue website or call the preschool office to find out
about enrollment.
Baby Sing- For infants to babies 6 months old (and a caregiver), this
class will feature songs and stories geared just right for little ones
developing language. Adults get a chance to meet and chat as well as
spend time singing and dancing with their baby. Tuesdays at 11:00,
this class runs for approximately 6 week sessions, check the
synagogue website or call the preschool office to find out about
enrollment.
6 months- 2 years
Shabbat Shira Once a month on the 2nd Saturday, for infants through
age 2 ½ years and a parent, this class sings and plays in a “Toddler
Shabbat.” This program is free.
Shabbat Babysitting Saturdays 10:30am – 12:30pm for walking
toddlers through 5 yr olds. We are happy to provide babysitting during
Shabbat morning services, to enable parents to attend services. This
program occurs every Shabbat and is free, but requires preregistration.
Toddlers- This Friday morning program for children (ages 6
months to 3 years and their parents/ caregivers) includes songs,
play, movement, and Jewish holiday celebration. This program
includes a Shabbat sing-along with the Rabbi and challah! Toddler
II is for ages 18 months- 3 years (9:30-11); Toddler I is for ages 6-
18 months (10:45-11:45). This class runs for approximately 8
weeks for each session. Check the synagogue website or call the
preschool office to find out about enrollment and fees.
2-3 years
Toddlers- Open for children up to age 3- see above for description
Two’s Program- A great introduction to school-the children have
fun in our happy and exciting classroom while learning basic
preschool concepts. With the support of a caregiver two year olds
can begin to get used to a more structured school environment.
The program includes the celebration of Jewish holidays plus art,
stories, snack, music, play dough, outside time in our yard and
more. This class runs 9:30-11:00 for approximately 8 weeks for
each session. Check the synagogue website or call the preschool
office to find out about enrollment and fees.
B’Yachad Shabbat Class (Saturdays for 2 & 3 year olds with a
parent) This program will include Shabbat prayers and songs,
Shabbat dancing and storytelling. This program occurs every 1st
and 3rd Shabbat; free.
3-5 years
Shalom Chaverim Mondays 4:00-5:00-Jewish Stories, Crafts and
More -This is a new and exciting program for children in other
preschools to experience some of the fun we have in the Kaplan
preschool. This is a drop off program.
