What’s Your
Passion?
The summer holiday creates wonderful opportunities for beginning artists to get in the habit of
creating art regularly and on their own terms. This summer I would like you to choose 1
thing/idea to focus your artistic intentions on. At beginning of the
holiday choose your 1 PASSION and create art throughout the
summer to create 10 different pieces of art.

 You may create art in a variety of media. Sculpture, mix

media projects, drawings, photography, etc.
 You must develop your ideas using your Black Book and
document your process.
 When you turn in your pieces they must be ready for
display. If you are doing photography for an example they
must be printed (not using your home computer). Any 2D
piece needs to be ready to mount/matt

Your pieces can range from media exploration,

sketches, studies, and full finished pieces. They can
be as large as you want however the smallest I will
accept is 5x5x5 inches. I want 3-5 finished
portfolio pieces. You will display the portfolio
pieces on the 1st day of class.
I would like you to keep
your idea a secret *shhh*.
You will not need to get my
approval or suggestions
*yes!!!* and I don’t want
you working on the
assignments with other
students.
