FOUNDER’S SPEECH

Thomas NOËL,
Founder and Director of Amaris

“When Amaris was founded in Geneva, we wanted to create a Consulting Group, and
developing it abroad, pursuing two objectives: to be able to accompany our customers in their different
establishments, and to propose ambitious projects to our consultants. It was important for us to test
the viability of a business model on the Swiss market, the effectiveness of a method of management,
and the efficiency of the processes to make them transferable to other countries. Rapidly, our French
and Spanish subsidiaries came into being, followed by Belgium, the United-Kingdom and Luxembourg.

Amaris is characterized by two strong values: humanism and profitability. The Amaris strategy is clearly
turned towards growth, but this one needs to be in harmony with the blooming of our collaborators,
who are the engine of this same growth. For us, Amaris directors, that means that Humans makes the
company. If we leave this aside, the company does not perform anymore. Our Consultants and our
Managers are the human capital of Amaris. First, our Consultants: the growth is not possible without
them, the growth is them! We have to satisfy their expectations, and make them compatible with the
requirements of our clients. Their motivation is the guarantee of the success of our projects. Then, the
Managers and others functions: they are the vector of our growth. Initial trainings, daily
accompaniment in the various stages of their career are the entire key of their success.

In Amaris, if an individual (client, consultant, manager) has a question, or faces a difficulty, he knows
that he can count on another individual to obtain some help”.

HISTORY
At the end of 2006:

Amaris, the business consulting company specialized in management and information systems, was
founded in Geneva, Switzerland by Thomas NOËL.

2007

The operational activity was launched and the first customers relied upon Amaris. A few mont
after, three other leaders joined Thomas NOËL; then, the project became a wide-ranging one, and
thanks to its succes, Amaris extended over the France (Lyon) and over the English Channel (London).

2008

The first quarter of 2008 was regulated by the opening of two subsidiaries in Lausanne (Switzerland)
and Madrid (Spain). The group also established itself in Paris and reached a total of 100 employees.

2009

The European network was reinforced by settings-up of activities in Brussels (Belgium), Strasbourg
(France) and Barcelona (Spain). Amaris, which reached 200 employees, spread its activity to the USA
and developed activities in Russia and also in Mexico. The Group was also going into a new activity: the
engineering and the high technologies.

2010

 From January to June: on the heels of its numerous successes, Amaris opened two new
subsidiaries in Belfort (France) and Zurich (Switzerland) through which Amaris developed its
technological activity in Switzerland. During the first quarter of 2010, the operational activities
have been launched in Luxembourg. As well as 4 new subsidiaries have been opened: Bale
(Switzerland), Turin and Rome (Italy) and Mexico.

 From July to December: some 200 new employees joined Amaris. The group is from now on
established in 10 countries throughout 17 subsidiaries and has close to 400 employees. The
objectives being accomplished and the 100 customers’ mark being passed, Amaris can now
view the year 2011 with serenity.

2011

 From January to June: The beginning of the year 2011 is marked by the establishment of the
Group in a new country: Germany! Amaris opened its Munich subsidiary in March, thus
finalizing its strategic presence in Europe. Some new activities also started in France, in the
South-Est quarter, with the objective of following the development of the activities across the
country in the medium term.

AMARIS PRESENTATION
AMARIS PRESENTATION

Amaris is a Swiss Consulting Group specialized in Management, Information Systems and Engineering.
Our mission? Contribute, through our consultants, to the operational performance of our customers,
in acting on their organization, on their information systems, and on their technologies.

Our European coverage permits us to meet needs of our customers, mainly composed of major
international companies. In all our subsidiaries, we take advantage of our mastery of methodological
tools of a large Group, combined to a profound knowledge of the local market.

We accompany our customers in achieving their projects on the following skills:

Systems & Network: Architecture, Security, Administration, Support...

We are working on the convergence of data processing and telecommunications as well as on
more classical problems of audit, architecture, installation, and administration of technical
infrastructures and environments of production (Datacenter, DBMS, OS, Network, SLA,
Security, Messaging/Groupware…).

Information Systems: Software development, Customization, Integration, Business

Intelligence, PM/Methodologies...
In this field, we are concentrating as much on the system as on the information itself. Indeed,
even if these projects remain related to data processing (choice of software package,
development of specific solutions in various technologies), we provide our customers an
added value:

o A methodological added value (project management, accompanying program on

modeling tools, software quality, etc).

o A functional added value: our good knowledge in some specific business of our
customers enables us to work with them from the upstream phase (functional
specification) through the downstream phase (change management) of their projects.

Business & Management Consulting: Business Consulting, BPM, Compliance, Strategy &
Governance, PMO...
In this part, we target the processes of our customers; cartography, implementation,
compliance, re-engineering. The customers motivations about the mandate that they
entrusted to us in this domain are: the continuing improvement, the risk management, but
also the setting in conformity with standards which govern key functions in the flow chart of
the company (SOX, IAS-IFRS for the departments accountancy/finance for example), or specific
trades (Bale 2 for the bank, Solvency 2 for the insurance etc…).
