Scope of Responsibilities:
The position was directly involved in design, assembly and testing of armor desi
gns in both our ballistic range and various other government sites. The position
required purchasing of materials, coordinating of work with machine shops, sche
duling testing and data collection at our ballistics range. Most projects were p
erformed under Secret/Special Access Government clearances.

Process Technician involved in bench scale projects to reduce costs in our smelt
ing processes. Directly involved with programs to separate hazardous materials f
rom manufacturing processes as a testing technician in our Chemical Separations
Group.

Scope of Responsibilities:
The position involved working as a lead Testing operator involving a coal gasifi
cation plant for future use in furnace melting processes thru a government DOE g
rant. Intent was the possibility of a cost effective environmentally clean wa
y to melt aluminum by using a clean coal alternative.

The position involved casting various aluminum alloys. Contributed to Alcoa's re
cycling process as an operator designing cost efficient method to recover can-st
ock aluminum. Aided in transfer of technology to plants on a timely basis.
