Roles and Key Accomplishments
Raytheon 2007 - Present
Senior Systems Software Engineer, Systems Engineering Tucson, AZ
Responsible for the specification, development, and software test of system soft
ware products in C++ exceeding approximately 3 Million lines of software code, f
or a simulator on Redhat Linux, RTOS.
* Produced 3 software products for RTOS systems, based on the Linux operating sy
stem.
* Adhered to highly stringent CMMI level 3 software standards.
* Achieved mixed language compatibility with C and ADA on a RTOS software port p
roject.
* Responsible for monte carlo simulations using mathematical models for flight.
* Produced test plans, and product specifications for new software deliverables.
* System verification and testing of highly complex software systems using debug
gers and a functional coverage approach to development.
* Integration of software and hardware components which consisted of custom FPGA
and custom software elements.
IBM 1998 - 2006
Senior Engineer
Systems and Technology Group | Systems Group Burlington, VT
Performed as the engineering team technical leader to provide writing custom alg
orithms and verification of sub system components. This 5 person development te
am performed custom logic design and validation on extremely short product cycle
s typically 100 days or less of engineering elapsed time for clients such as IBM
Systems group and Cisco systems.
* Performed design and verification in Verilog and VHDL on complex design system
on a chip "SOC".
* Created new test bench environments using modelsim simulator.
* Used front end logic tools for custom logic development which included Synopsy
s COT tools.
* Create product specifications and test plans to deliver new products on a shor
t time to market cycle.
* Integrated new complex logic on Ethernet and communications protocols with 10
clock domains.
* Highly skilled logic design and algorithm developer for embedded environments.
AT&T 1996 - 1997
Software Engineer Holmdel, NJ
Designed a trading system for commodities trading for director level and C level
executives. This trading system consisted of revenue, cost, and return on inves
tment parameters, which included risk parameters to each program. The system and
database was designed with MS SQL Server, embedded SQL on Windows with Netscape
Server.
* This system was used for tracking the green light, yellow light, and red light
status of all new customer contracts for $100 Million programs and above for la
rge corporate clients.
* Created a project proposal and developed a new platform using Coldfusion and d
ynamic SQL.
Syracuse University 1995
Research Fellow Syracuse, NY
Wrote an algorithm which performed parallel distributed processing of Radar and
signal processing for a defense contract. Added functionality for signal process
ing in C++ and Matlab which provided parallel processing and statistical converg
ence methods for first processing the signal, and then processing the statistica
l probabilities for a multivariable complex system using computational rounds of
matrixes.
* Interfaced with three person research team on their project needs and requirem
ents.
* Demonstrated engineering ingenuity and creativity to help assist and automate
software which took 10 hours to run.
* Decreased run time by 9 hours to 1 hour.
* Improved productivity of team members by creating software automation for mont
e carlo simulations in matlab.
Syracuse University 1994-1995
Computer Network Support Syracuse, NY
Responsible for large computer systems as part of the Syracuse University comput
er clusters consisting of greater than 200 Windows machines as part of a large n
etwork. Deployment and rollout and training for end users was provided.
* Provided first line of support for computer work stations on windows.
* Provided trouble shooting and problem resolution on workstations to end user.
* New user orientation and training courses were developed and rolled out.
