imized Through Groundwater Modeling ~ 3-D Visualization / EarthVision
Dynamic senior hydrogeologist with 20+ years of experience, and a history of opt
imizing the development and accuracy of complex groundwater and transport models
. At the same time achieving cost savings through technical innovation and effe
ctive training / mentoring of colleagues. Strategic thinker with proven ability
to achieve timely delivery for major government and private sector clients, incl
uding the U.S. Department of Energy, the Defense Department, and Bethlehem Steel
. Outstanding hydrogeology expertise and world-class proficiency with EarthVisio

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
WESTON SOLUTIONS, INC. / SAIC, Las Vegas, Nevada * 1993 to 2008
Environmental services firm providing investigation, analysis, and restoration s
olutions for government and commercial clients such as the U.S. Department of En
ergy.
Senior Hydrogeologist (2003 to 2008)
Played key role in restoration initiatives at the Nevada Test Site and adjoining
area. Leveraged technical expertise to create complex hydrostratigraphy 3-D sub
surface models (for groundwater and particle tracking). Devised and deployed str
ategies to maximize efficiency, productivity, and model accuracy. Ensured on-tim
e delivery with high-quality despite periodic staffing shortages. Developed fini
te element/ difference meshes through employment of electronic modeling. Generat
ed statistical assessments on models' likely percentage of uncertainty and perfo
rmed sensitivity analysis after assembling and calibrating flow models using inv
erse parameterization(PEST). Prepared strategic documentation for regulators and
other team members to gain approval for modeling initiatives. Conducted trainin
g programs on EarthVision (EV) for junior employees.
Specific Accomplishments
*Added substantial value by producing 3-D hydrostratigraphy subsurface models fo
r Yucca Flat, Rainier Mesa / Shoshone Mountain, Oasis Valley / Pahute Mesa, and
Frenchman Flat.
*Performed tasks of up to 3 employees throughout 1st year of the Weston contract
while maintaining 100% timely delivery rate and providing training for a new te
am member.
*Constructed extremely complex subsurface models with the EarthVision (EV) softw
are (an achievement matched by fewer than 10 other persons worldwide).
*Received a 2008 Safety Award.

Senior Hydrogeologist, SAIC, Las Vegas, Nevada and Columbus, Ohio (1993 to 2003)
Spearheaded groundwater/ contamination evaluations in the field. Conducted RI /
FS modeling, 3-D visualization projects, and subsurface modeling operations. Ma
naged 1-6 team members. Facilitated restoration and assessment of locations incl
uding the Department of Energy PORTS site, Tinker Air Force Base, and the Nevada
Test Site (NTS).
Specific Accomplishments
*Generated a $100,000+ client savings at the NTS by decreasing 3-D and groundwat
er modeling costs through innovative deployment of EarthVision.
*Enhanced data collection at the NTS by developing initial models of all 4 proje
ct sites and conducting statistical analysis of the results.
*Earned selection to participate in the NTS project based on outstanding perform
ance with the EarthVision solution while based in Ohio.

BATTELLE MEMORIAL INSTITUTE, Columbus, Ohio * 1986 to 1993

Nonprofit applied sciences / technology solutions firm.
Principal Research Scientist / Hydrogeologist
Directed RI/ FS initiatives at Tinker Air Force Base, including groundwater and
surfacewater analysis. Created groundwater flow and solute transport models for
the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety, PORTS, Miami South Wellfield(Dayton
OH), Cohasset Heights Landfill.
