Project Description:

This project has involved building an enterprise-wide data warehouse for


Hindustan Lever Limited - which is the Indian arm of Unilever Limited and is India’s
largest FMCG Company – from ground up. The warehouse serves the needs of all the
profit centers in HLL including beverages, detergents, personal care products, ice
creams and foods. For each profit center, it stores the data for the entire sales and
supply chain starting from raw material purchase, packing material purchase,
transportation of materials to factories, inventory and production of finished goods at
factories, dispatch of goods to depots, inventory at depots, primary sales of goods to
distributors, secondary sales of goods to retailers, etc. The warehouse further captures
all the financial expenditure related to the marketing and advertising of products and
brands, computation of net proceeds from sales, tracking and settlement of expense
claims from distributors, etc

Responsibilities:

• Worked extensively with Designer tools like Source Analyzer, warehouse


Designer, Transformation Developer, Mapping and Mapplet Designers.
• Extensively worked on all the transformations like Filter, Aggregator, Expression,
Router, Lookup, Update Strategy, and Sequence generator and Normalize
transformation.
• Used Workflow Manager to design sessions, event wait/raise, and assignment
tasks to execute mappings.

Project Description:
Coles Myer is one of Australia's largest retailers with more than 2,600 stores throughout
Australia and New Zealand. With over 400,000 shareholders, more than 165,000
employees, millions of customers and a store in just about every town, they are a part of
the fabric of Australian communities. Today Coles is a leader in Australian food retailing
and Sales lead information provides the capturing and maintaining information
capabilities on all sales. To achieve this it is required to transform/modify/load the sales
data collected and stored into Oracle Database where it can be analysed. The
Enterprise Data warehouse is implementing to centralize database for decision support
and to improve the client services by preventing errors, providing real-time data and
updating records as transactions are completed.
Responsibilities:
• Understanding existing business model and customer requirements.
• Working on ETL Mapping design using Informatica.
• Used heterogeneous data sources, like flat files and Oracle.
• Created mappings using the transformations such as the Source qualifier,
Aggregator, Expression, Router, Filter, Rank, Sequence Generator, and Update
Strategy.
• Used Informatica Power Center Workflow manager to create sessions and
workflows to run the logic embedded in the mappings.

values in a table.
