To Whom It May Concern,
I had the privilege of attending the care of the elderly mother of Sue Weidert (
BSN degree,
CSULB), on whose behalf I write this letter of support. Sue cared for her mothe
r, who was gravely disabled and medically complex, for several years in her home
. She was proficient in bladder and gastrostomy catheter care, respiratory suppo
rt, medical records keeping, and especially the challenging skin care needed for
properly assisting the needs of a long-term patient in a vegetative state. Sue
was comfortable working with all levels of staffing sent to
her home for any licensed assistance needed, and was a pleasure to work with per
sonally. She provided a very high level of care in all aspects to her mother, an
d in my opinion, she will work well as an R.N., both individually and in a group
.
I can be reached at the address and phone # above should you wish any further co
mments, and I
wish Sue the best results with her future endeavors.
Sincerely,
Michael Cortez MD
