2 Summary of Qualifications
Possess solid background in the area of manufacturing/engineering
technology with a primary focus on plastics injection molding. Familiar
with polymeric materials and attributes along with testing and
interpretation of results. Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing in
an automotive environment, process optimization and troubleshooting

Tooling Manager/Tech Service Manager: Responsibilities include preparation
of tools and processes to be transferred to the New Mexico facility.
Implementation of excessive rejects (method of preventing bad parts)
installation of press side grinders, SMEAD, 5S initiatives and
implementation of tool tracking as well as PM system.
Drove Molding department quality improvement of 2.3% by having presses shut
down when running outside of established outputs.
Lead team in mold change overall reduction of nearly 20% by distributing
the task more evenly, organizing, getting the supervisors involved, and
posting accomplishments from shift to shift.
Implemented approved locations for equipment and supplies used daily
Directly responsible for the installation of a preventative maintenance
system by actual mold usage rather than time basis through production
reporting in SAP.
Molding Manager: Directly responsible for schedule attainment of injection
molding department through the launch of large business transfers and new
product introduction while maintaining safety standards. Managed 83
employees including process technicians, plastic engineers, tooling
technicians, assembly cells, recycle operations and plastics manufacturing
supervisors.
Maintained production needs in molding without new staffing while launching
87 transfer tools that made over 140 different parts in a short time
period.
Assisted in the implementation and managed 3 transfer assembly cells

Assessed the need of personnel for processing and established a new
position on each shift while maintaining staffing and training those
individuals
Technical Service Manager: Implemented the RJG e-Dart installation on 28
injection molding machines. Brought Molding Department up to ANSI
standards. Assisted assembly departments in troubleshooting issues and
launch of new business. Developed and maintained new technology of process
monitoring while creating designated storage locations for all molds and
EOA tools. Attended tool tryouts, reviews and assisted in mold fill
interpretations.
Identified and upgraded press guarding and robot cages to comply with
current ANSI standards
Lead team in documenting D2 and D3 templates (processes) for over 543 molds
Responsible for establishing storage location for all tools and EOAT
fixtures.

projects to improve quality, reduce cycle time and minimize scrap material.

Lead department in cycle time reduction of nearly 8% over 37 machines and
maintained for more than one year.
Critical member of Kaizan project that eliminated photometric issues with
most headlamp reflectors for an estimated cost save of $365,000
Critical team member of a 6-Sigma project that involved scrap reduction of
a specific raw material. The resin scrap was reduced by 56% for a
projected annual cost savings of $540,000.
Implemented a single cost savings of $1.7 million by introducing a recycled
material stream on a non-cosmetic product.
Helped materials department find an alternative high heat resin and
implement during a supplier shortage issue in which would have lead to no
build situation.
