The Pakistan Problem

As I see it we have a major problem and what may be the real enemy on our war on
terror and that’s Pakistan. The killing of the world’s biggest scum bag since Hitler
sheds light on a serious problem we have when it comes to our long term security
and dealing with the continuing threat from Radical Islam.

The fact is it appears that Pakistan is the real location of most if the national
security threats we face (outside Iran) now and for the foreseeable future. The
problem is made worse by a bungled national security policy that calls for aid to this
less than friendly ally, I’ll take the keystone cops dealing with this over the current
response to Pakistan coming out of the State Department. How we justify billions of
dollars in aid to the tax payers, and more so the families of the men and woman
that serve or have died in the region is beyond me. It’s time to call this what it is
and start looking at a new more aggressive approach when it comes to dealing with
the Pakistanis’.

Here is the scorecard on Pakistan to put this in perspective.

1. The number proliferators of nuclear weapons and technology on the planet!

2. They harbored Bin Laden, KSM and we are certain Mullah Omar plus many
more.

3. They allow attacks on U.S. Forces from the border region into Afghanistan.

4. They engage in double dealing with us and all regional partners.

5. They have nuclear weapons.

It’s time we demand a comprehensive new approach to the relationship and full
transparency from the leadership. In short we need to look at this combined
strategy when it comes to the “Pakistani problem”. We engage openly with India
and let Pakistan know we are going to do it to include sales of advanced fighters to
India. We demand full and unfettered access to all nuclear weapons sites and
production facilities. We insist on the handover of Mullah Omar, the ISI know where
he is just like they did with Bin Laden. Last we don’t send a dime in aid until we
have seen them take on the Taliban in the tribal regions in Pakistan. Nothing short
of a hard body count or full intelligence, so we can strike any and all targets in the
region.

The administration is saying that we can’t cut off aid or it will further isolate them
and make for bigger problems. That is nonsense and akin to the farmer not only
opening the hen house for the fox, but giving him three hens hoping the fox won’t
eat the other nine. You shot the dam fox right between the eyes! Geez, where is
Reagan when you need him? We need a box that says break glass in case of
national security threat and a soft administration.

Pakistan is not a friend to the United States and any dollars we send them are
tainted with the blood of U.S. Service members in the region forced to deal with the
Pakistani problem. You are with us or against us and the Killing of Bin Laden and its
aftermath make it clear that Pakistan is now against us.
