Hired to create a first class Human Resources Department from ground up for two
corporations, Ahtna Government Services Corporation and Ahtna Engineering Servic

Operational Highlights:
Created a viable and effective Affirmative Action Plan for both Corporations.
The plan has been adopted by other subsidiaries as the model template for their
respective AAPs.
Collaborated with Training Manager and key Department Heads in developing an in
ternal training program with several different courses of instruction to meet th
e development needs of newly hired, promotable or promoted individuals.
Shaped a comprehensive employee evaluation program where none existed before to
properly measure employee performance and productivity. Removed subjectivity a
nd replaced with measurable metrics in determining promotion opportunities, sala
ry increases and progressive discipline.
Developed a compensation program, to ensure total compensation was fair, equita
ble and competitive. Restructured organizational charts and employee classifica
tions in accordance with applicable Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA.)
Created an Employee Guide incorporating fragmented policies, processes and proc
