Research all possible express routings via airlines, line haul, pickup/delivery
, scheduling and geographic servicing. Analyze routes for efficiency and cost ef

Previous Positions, Responsibilities and Highlights UPS Freight
Allowance / Government Analyst (5/00 - 8/06)
Accountable for accurate and prompt disbursement of customer Allowance programs
(refunds/ rebates based on a wide variety of customer provisions) equating to ap
proximately $14 million annually. Interaction with customer traffic managers an
d senior executive staff regarding allowance programs and disbursement of funds.
Maintenance of software packages consisting of Visual Basic and MS Access progr
ams to process allowances.
Responsible for timely and accurate filing of all transportation tenders (contr
acts) and transportation bids for the account of the US Government. Interaction
with high ranking Department of Defense Transportation Officers and internal gov
ernment managers.
Responsible for transportation contract analysis and amendments as required or
requested. Interaction with customer base traffic managers, internal sales and
management staff on contract and allowance issues.
Full project lifecycle, (Interviewing users and managers, design, programming,
implementation and training) of a Visual Basic International Rating Utility on a
Windows NT platform used by multiple departments.
Manager Accounts Payable (8/99 - 4/00)
Responsible for prompt and accurate payment of invoices.
Reconciliation of numerous general ledger accounts, petty cash disbursements to
service centers nationwide, regulating delegation of authority procedures and c
ompany compliance to 1099 reporting. Use of systematic tools to monitor and elim
inate duplicate payments, set production standards and monitor quality.
Supervisor Government Accounting (7/97 - 8/99)
Responsibilities included invoicing, collections and cash application for accou
nts of the US Government.
Process reorganization and procedure enhancements accomplished the following.
* 2.5 million dollar reduction in Government receivable.
* 1.5 million-dollar reduction in Government non-posted cash.
* 1.2 million-dollar reduction in non-invoiced receivables.
* Jointly participating with high-ranking officials to re-engineer the freight a
ccounting processes for the US Government.
* Performed cost benefit analysis on multiple invoicing and payment options dete
rmining the most cost-effective methods of business
