EXPERIENCE

Estimating Coordinator 10/2009 - 4/2010
Newly created position. I supported the Vice President of Pre-construction Servi
ces, three estimators, and the Vice President of Business Development in all asp
ects of administration. Tracked and logged bid requests from General Contractors
and Owners. I maintained logs of all bid invitations. I responded to client inv
itations. Maintained log of projects bid, who we bid to, and the amount of the b
id. I contacted lighting vendors requesting pricing for bids due. I followed up
with vendors for pricing when not received by bid date. Ordered, tracked and pri
nted blueprints from many different FTP sites for approximately 20-30 projects p
er week. I took minutes at department meetings. I entered all pertinent informat
ion for each project bid in a software program called Filemaker. Ordered departm
ent supplies. Created marketing books for presentations. I assisted other depart
ments in obtaining plans and specifications, addenda to documents and requests f
or information. Assured all pertinent documents were in the proper file folders
for each project for estimator access. All documentation and bids were confident
ial.

Estimating Coordinator/Construction Administrator 09/1996 - 12/2008
Newly created position. I organized and created procedures for the department to
be able to run smoothly. Initiated the installation of computers in the departm
ent and alleviated paper files. Received and prepared responses to inquiries on
Requests for Proposals (RFP) for pre-construction services to owners, architects
and engineers. Organized and assembled information required for RFP submission.
Obtained, processed and logged all necessary documents (I.e., addendum, formal
requests for information and clarifications to documentation) for submission of
bid proposals. I obtained and distributed bid documents to subcontractors in a t
imely manner, reviewed project documents and specifications and reported discrep
ancies to the appropriate party. Sent invitations to bid on large construction p
rojects to 200 plus subcontractors (per project), tracked and logged all respons
es to invites, (5-8 projects at a time). Created, updated, and maintained contac
t database for the entire company, including our parent company, National Develo
pment, utilizing the Prolog Management Software System (3,000 + contacts). Estab
lished resourceful relationships and negotiated pricing with several printing co
mpanies. Tracked all document printing, distribution of construction documents a
nd costs associated with bid proposal. Instructed subcontractors on the use of F
TP programs and assisted in troubleshooting download and upload issues. Created,
organized and distributed pre-construction marketing materials. Supported the M
arketing Director, Construction Management and interfaced extensively with the p
arent company on estimates and proposals for client properties.

ector of Data Processing. I supported eight department managers within data proc
essing, which entailed the typing and distribution of all in-house memorandums a

proximately 100 employees.
Prime Computer, Framingham, MA - Secretary, Production Control C started at Prim
e Computer working in the warehouse supporting the Manager of hardware testing.
Powered up and backed up all IBM computer systems daily. I was promoted to Execu
tive Secretary to the Production Control Director performing all administrative
work and extensive travel arrangements. Answered and directed telephone calls an
d maintained calendar. I supported approximate 20 employees in the department.
