Marine Aviation Training Support Group 22 (MATSG 22)
U. S. Marine Corps, Corpus Christi, TX, June 2007 to May 2010
* Served as "subject matter expert" and principal advisor to the commanding offi
cer in developing unit AT/FP Policies.
* Provided the role as liaison between the Naval Air Station Anti-terrorism Offi
cer and Commanding Officer of MATSG 22.
* Helped develop and institute Base-wide and Unit AT/FP Measures as a member of
the Base's Anti-terrorism Working Group (ATWG).
* Supervised all AT/FP Measures taken by his command; used personal AT/FP experi
ence in training seniors and juniors.
Headquarters Commandant, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit
U. S. Marine Corps, Camp Pendleton, CA, May 2005 to June 2007
* Served as the assistant to the unit's Anti-terrorism/Force Protection Chief.
* As Guard Chief during Operation Bright Star in Egypt, supervised a guard force
of 20 Marines that was solely responsible for security of the unit's base camp
of more than 2000 Marines and sailors.
* Designed the security layout for the unit Headquarters while deployed to Iraq.
* Served as advisor on all security-related issues for the Unit Headquarters.
Platoon Sergeant, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment
U. S. Marine Corps, Camp Pendleton, CA, Feb 2000 to August 2003
* While serving as the First Regimental Guard Chief on 9/11/01, he successfully
led a 50-man guard force by adapting to a heightened Threat Condition after the
attacks on New York and Washington, D.C.
* Supervised the implementation of enhanced security measures for the Regiment f
ollowing the 9/11 attacks. These security measures were hailed as "noteworthy"
and "the best of any unit on Camp Pendleton" by the Commander, Marine Corps Base
, Camp Pendleton.
* Served as Guard Chief during Security Operations in the Port of Aqaba, Jordan.
* Supervised Security Operations during offloading of his battalion's weapons, m
unitions and equipment in Kuwait prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom I.
* Assisted his Platoon Commander in leading a reinforced platoon of 50 Marines a
nd sailors during combat operations in Iraq.

* Helped established the Raid Training Section; personally wrote four Periods of
Instruction for the new Raid Course.
