ors, pulmonary floor, orthopedics, oncology, post open heart telemetry floor, Re
hab. Care unit, renal floor. Assisted in successful CARF accreditation for th
e Rehab Care unit. Many years of experience with Joint Commission surveys, incl
uding a recent one (March, 2009) at Forrest General.
September, 2000 to November 2002,- Patient Care Manager, Forrest General Hospita
l, Hattiesburg, Ms. Managed the staff of an outpatient/inpatient unit, surgical
pre-evaluation testing unit, built, staffed and managed the Same Day Surgery un
it, and a medical telemetry unit. Reported to the Director of Patient Care Servi
ces.
June, 1995 to July, 2000 - Administrative Director of Nursing, Southwest Mississ
ippi Regional Medical Center, McComb, Ms. Directed the managers of this 120 bed
acute care facility including medical surgical, continuing care unit, telemetry
unit, emergency room, intensive care unit (10 beds). Reported to the Chief Nur
sing officer.
November 1987 to April 1995 - Director, Clinical Services, MEDPLEX, Ambulatory C
are Center, Regional Medical at Memphis, Memphis, Tn. Directed the nursing serv
ices of this 44 clinic ambulatory care center, staffed by physicians from the Un
iversity of Tennessee Medical Units, Memphis. Assisted in the design, building a
nd staffing of the 250,000sq. ft. MEDPLEX.
January, 1987 to November, 1987 - Associate Director of Home Health Care/Directo
r of Nursing Services, Kimberly Home Health Care, Inc., Memphis, Tn. Directed a
nd supervised home health nurses and the small temporary staffing agency of the
company in Memphis.
