borrowers on behalf of one of the nation's top five banks. Effectively helped
defend a class action suit against a top clothing retailer. Obtained attorneys
fees on behalf of international food manufacturer after dismissing a trademark i
nfringement case pre-trial. Aided hotel franchisor in successful action to comp
el franchisees to abide by universal terms for assisting hotel guests with disab
ilities. Drafted amicus curiae brief for the 11th Circuit signed by fifty-four
former attorneys general in support of former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman. C
ourt appearances in state and federal court arguing demurrers, motions to dismis
s and attending conferences and other court-appointed hearings. Daily duties in
cluded researching and drafting legal memoranda and briefs, attending court hear
ings, overseeing and drafting discovery, attending mediations, taking and defend
ing depositions and overseeing document production.
