Responsible for JIT service for all General Motors North American plants; achiev
ed and maintain average daily scorecards of 98.7%. Lead and maintain compliance
for required Driver and Employee DOT, FMSCR, and OSHA-related training. Recrui
t, manage and develop 5 direct employees and more than 200 truck drivers. Respo
nsible for efficiency and productivity improvements related to customer service
and operational activities. Maintain and report monthly profit and loss (relati
ve to the associated fiscal budget), as well as long-range forecasting to senior
management.
Successfully completed all requirements for FedEx Supply Chain Services to obtai
n their CTPAT and PIP memorandums. RESULT: FedEx Supply Chain Services was able
to operate in the FAST environment of expedited clearances through customs. Awa
rded "Best FAST Carrier in 2007 & 2008" by General Motors, with an average of 99
% Fast clearances through North American borders.
Awarded the 2008 FedEx Global Supply Services and FedEx Solutions Award of Excel
lence.

As Chief Mate, I was responsible for all cargo operations, maintaining safety re
cords, training, and meeting all Coast Guard regulations as outlined in the "Cod
e of Federal Regulations". As Second Mate, I maintained all navigational publica
tions, as well trip navigation plans. This included a six month trip (Hawaii, Au
stralia, through the Panama Canal into Norfolk Virginia).
