EXPERIENCE
Technical
Supervised and initiated the installation and use of CCTV in the detection of di
shonest employees and shoplifters. Use of DVRs/NVRs for remote surveillance/vide
o review of internal investigations. Document and maintain digital media eviden
ce for future criminal prosecution/archive of internal Loss Prevention records.
Maintain procedures used to utilize EAS tagging system. On a regular basis, per
form cash register, safe, promotions, layaway, and fire/safety audits.
Management
Provided training to loss prevention detectives and investigators. Scheduled ag
ent/investigator hours and maintained yearly budget for man hours per store requ
irements. I successfully maintained a Loss Prevention budget for equipment/perso

and beverage employees. This included detection of counterfeit bills and fraudul

prehensions and court appearances including writing of arrest reports. Training
of store personnel for fire safety, store robbery, and shoplift hotlines.

LEGOLAND California Resort is a theme park geared for children 2 to 12 years of
age. This park contains 9 specialty retail shops, 15 restaurants and various sa
tellite retail and food carts throughout the park. During peak season (Mid June
through Early September), there would be approximately 1,300 employees working.
All internal theft investigations, Administrative investigations are initiated
and completed through the Loss Prevention department.

Duties/accomplishments: Developed Park wide loss prevention policy; established
cash handling and cash shortage procedures; installed current CCTV throughout a
dministration building (16 cameras) and have continuously added CCTV to the Park
(retail, food and beverage and admissions areas); established Crime Stoppers Ho
tline; developed 45 minute loss prevention overview orientation for all newly hi
red employees; established Leadership course for detection of employee theft for
supervisory personnel; train all cash handling employees on detection of counte
rfeit currency, checks, credit cards, travelers checks; trained security personn
el for loss prevention (shoplift) duty; set up civil demand collection procedure
; set up and maintain key control policy park wide; responsible for training app
roximately 15 security personnel, both uniform and plain clothes in bomb threat
procedures, civil disturbance, biochemical dangers, suspicious packages, alarm r
esponse; and general Park/facility security and loss prevention. Developed and
maintained Park Emergency Response trailers.
I assisted in the design and installation of CCTV at Madame Tussauds Hollywood a
nd Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. I traveled overseas in 2007 to assess Loss Prevent
ion procedures for LEGOLAND Parks located in Gnzburg Germany, Billund, Demark an
d Windsor, England.
