I have recently completed an 80 hour internship at the Johnson Center where I co


nducted chart review, discharge papers, daily census and other HIM tasks. In my
current position as a Program Assistant, I have been responsible for peer review

employees, business use of the internet, and healthcare communications.

I hold an AAS degree in Health Information Technology. RHIT: I plan to take
my AHIMA accredited RHIT exam this fall 2010.
I am able to apply knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy/pathophys

The Colorado State Office of Rural Health Center is an independent, non-profit,
membership-based organization. It offers programs and services to ensure that ru
ral communities have access to adequate healthcare. Working for the Rural Health
Clinics and Critical Access Hospital Programs, I have provided educational even
t planning, conducted research, managed grant applications, facilitated physicia
n peer review, and managed databases. I support the effective and efficient admi

Database Management:
‚ I was responsible for the administrative update of sales database (SQL) system
s. I ensured these systems were updated on a regular basis, including the names
of the authors, coordinators, project title, project number, file location, etc.
I generated and analyzed periodic reports from these systems, as well as provid
ed decision making information to upper management.
‚ I worked with IT to create a web based, global sales database (SQL) for CH2M H
ILL. It was designed to track new business and input for sales Dash Board

Records Management:
‚ I developed and maintained an electronic filing and tracking tool called SO
Q Builder for statement of qualifications documents. These documents were dow
nloaded by employees for use in proposals and sales presentations. I sent remind
ers to the key stakeholders concerning continuing update of documents. I ensured
proper administrative closure of documents and the archival management process.
I updated documents as required by the key stakeholders. I helped to develop we
b tools promoting the effective coordination of a Records Management Program.
Research Coordinator Duties:
‚ I monitored action plans and contacted key stakeholders to ensure actions are
taken within established timelines. I gathered documentation to submit to senior
management. I assisted management by performing periodic audits of research inf
ormation.
