Jim şi Paula vor vizita Parisul. Intenţionează să stea acolo o săptămână
întreagă, aşa că vreau să-i dau nişte ponturi prietenului meu.
See new places, meet new faces Locuri noi, oameni noi
Jim Patrick: Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Paris. (Mâine dimineaţă
plecăm la Paris.)
Minnie Jones: A visit to Paris is a memorable experience. I am happy for
you both. I was in Paris several times. (O vizită la Paris este o experienţă
memorabilă. Mă bucur pentru voi amândoi. Eu am fost la Paris de câteva
ori.)
Jim Patrick: It’s our first visit to Paris. It’s a chance we don’t want to miss.
(E prima noastră vizită la Paris. Este o şansă pe care nu vrem să o ratăm.)
Minnie Jones: Don’t miss it! Paris has a large number of districts you can
visit and see lots of interesting sights. It also depends on what you prefer
to do. (N-o rataţi! Parisul are un număr mare de cartiere pe care le puteţi
vizita şi puteţi vedea locuri interesante. Depinde şi ce preferaţi să faceţi.)
Jim Patrick: I like French cuisine and Paula wants to buy some fashionable
clothes. (Mie îmi place bucătăria franceză, iar Paula vrea să-şi cumpere
haine la modă.)
Minnie Jones: That’s good. You can enjoy lunch in one of the many famous
restaurants in the city and you can visit many excellent shops. (Foarte
bine. Puteţi savura prânzul într-unul dintre restaurantele celebre ale
oraşului şi puteţi vizita magazine excelente.)
Jim Patrick: We are also very fond of the nightlife. (Ne place şi viaţa de
noapte.)
Minnie Jones: Of course you are. You can spend an evening at the theatre,
enjoy a drink in a café or go for a peaceful walk along the riverside.
(Bineînţeles. Puteţi petrece o seară la teatru, puteţi bea ceva la o cafenea
sau vă puteţi plimba de-a lungul rîului.)
Jim Patrick: Minnie, I have to go now. I have to buy a few things for our
flight. (Minnie, trebuie să plec acum.Trebuie să cumpăr câteva lucruri
pentru zbor.)
Minnie Jones: What time is the departure? (La ce oră e plecarea?)
Jim Patrick: We are taking off at 8 o’clock. Bye, Minnie. (Decolăm la 8. Pa,

Minnie Jones: Have a nice flight then! Bye Jim. (Atunci zbor liniştit! Pa,
Jim.)
