* Primarily responsible for the processing of all retirement applications from p
resentation and review with the participant / beneficiary through calculation an
d the presentation to the Trustees for approval. Coordinated all QDRO's through
fund counsel, fund actuary, through payment regime. The clients list included th
e St. Louis Iron Workers, the Plumbers and Fitters of Local 137, the Midwest Tea
msters of local 50 & 916, and the Shopmens Local 473 Ironworkers. When dealing w
ith the Annuity Fund, all payouts were coordinated to the Board of Trustees thro
ugh my desk. I was responsible for check calculation and coordinated the monthly
issuance of the benefit payment. The St. Louis Ironworkers instituted a self di
rected option approximately 10 years ago and I became responsible for the coordi
nation of the payments from this funding vehicle. Attendance at Trustee meetings
and assisting in the implementation of their directives was handled quarterly.
I was responsible for the reciprocal processing for the St. Louis Locals and pro
cessed the disability credit hours for all concerned individuals.
With disability processing came the problem of assuring the eligible individual
was credited with the operative number of hours per month (or part thereof) tha
t he / she was disabled. Work Comp. claims were handled separately from non work
injuries, but both required posting of monthly credits.
I designed the forms currently in use to facilitate the posting of the credit.
