Does College students develop alcohol related problems, especially Aggression, during or
after college years isdue totheir drinking pattern while they are in college.

A significant change has been identified in drinking patterns of college students, once
they graduate and live more productive lives. As a consequence for their drinking habits
during college years, they inherit alcohol related problems like aggression. Aggression
and nervous breakdowns among young adults due to drinking motivates them to engage
in fights and verbal hostility.

The psychological and personality variable data collected by researchers helps them to
analyze differences amongst particular adult. There has few assumption implied, as
sometimes there is absence of direct use of alcohol during the scenes.

Measures: Comparing variables like genetics, physiology, temperament,

personality, social cultural expectations and exposure to violence.
also by frustrating or provocative environmental stimuli that
producestress,arousal and anger.
.

Analytical Technique: It can be also measure by sketching a ³Risk Profile´ for the
alcohol aggression relation at individual and contextual level. We
can also analyze the physiological and psychological factors that
contribute to A-R aggression.

We infer a result from the mentioned research that alcohol consumption is related to
aggressive behavior among young adults and individuals. It effects through
pharmacological and psychological actions. Alcohol intoxication causes aggressive
behavior in individual, societal and cultural levels. The stress and results caused by
alcohol problems like sleep deprivation, bad motor skills, ego booster, overreaction etc
makes them cross their limits to perform deviant behavior. It¶s also resulted that hostile
behavior depends on provocative actions by other students and childhood aggressive
nature. Some of the biological effects like gender, blood alcohol concentration effects etc
could also me a major factor in the study.

Additionally, it has also been observed that social pressure, provocation, alcohol types
are some other factors which contributes to aggressive behavior. It¶s very easy to neglect
such variables and blame on an individual nature but these play an important role. A
simple study has resulted and outcome that specifically, distilled beverages such as vodka
elicit more aggression than brewed products like beer. This sound very ambiguous by
studies prove that .08% BAC level can cause more aggression than products which
produce 0.2%-0.3% like beer.

c

It concludes that alcohol consumption does not directly cause aggression but individual
differences and contextual variables to facilitate aggression. There are number of
physiological and Biological factors such as brain impairing, gender, temporal lobe
dysfunction etc. Moreover, social interaction and interpretation skills can be taught to
people with aggressive nature, so that they can remain non-violent when drinking. There
should be reduction strategies aimed to reducing the possibility of alcohol related
behavior. This message can be conveyed though classroom teaching, fraternities and
athletic programs, and alcohol based lectures and workshops.

r : The authors recognize the limitation of their study that whether alcohol is
associated with aggression at a higher rate than would be expected alone. Also its is
tough to infer if mainly alcohol causes aggression or aggressive individuals tend to drink
more. Another major limitations is regarding insufficient information about the presence
of alcohol at the time of transgression, cause of which reports are response bias. So, more
innovative and detailed experimentation is required to characterize the alcohol-aggression
relation in college students.
