Selected Achievements:
Event Coordination, Corporate Branding. Executed a variety of corporate activiti
es including industry trade shows, internal and external executive events, and c
ustomer appreciation events by researching location using RFP's and handling con
tract negotiations, food and beverage requirements, attendee deliverables and on
-site logistics each year, with an average of 100 - 150 events annually. Result:
Maintained and supported corporate branding throughout each event to align indi
vidual product groups with the company image.
Budgeting, Cost Controls. Maintained and created an annual budget for the compan
y's event calendar. Implemented a spreadsheet that contained all the details for
each event, which included our budgeted numbers for each portion of an event, a
nd continued working from one document throughout the year so that it could easi
ly be accessed by management. Result: This process organized and clarified all t
he information so that all levels of management where able to see where money wa
s being spent, and enabled myself to predict costs for year over year in order t
o stay under budget for consective years while supervising a budget of $500,000
annually.
Event Planning and Coordination. Established an effective, open working relation
ship with personnel at a Disney property to conduct a multi-track conference and
trade shows. Collaborated on a weekly basis for several months with the Sales M
anager participating in the planning stages and on-site execution. Established h
onest communication about needs and expectations. Result: The execution of the c
onference was flawless, due to our level of preparedness and communication, allo
wing for all 800 attendees to have a well organized learning experience.
Focus Group Management, Relationship Development. Managed the logistics for annu
al focus groups by working directly with company management, sales staff and the
marketing department to establish a controlled environment to enhance relations
hips with the clients and company personnel. Result: Doubled attendance at clien
t forums by providing an open interaction between company personnel and clients
Collateral Development, Corporate Branding. Supervised the annual redesign and p
roduction of product collateral to support industry trade show. Developed and ov
ersaw the timeline to assist the corporate writer and graphic designer in order
to get the pieces outsourced for production in a timely manner. Result: The corp
orate brand and message was up to date when displayed and delivered to the marke
t, so that we were always delivering timely information.
Project Management, Corporate Branding. Successfully launched and managed compan
y premium web-based cyber store for ongoing client appreciation and trade show d
istribution, by researching current trends in the market for items that company
management, sales personnel, and the client would appreciate. Result: During th
e years of working together with employees throughout the company, I was able to
raise the bar on the items available and present our company with a more profes
sional image. Through establishing a process with the Accounting department, we
were able to distribute charges to the departments as they required items, there
fore allowing Marketing to take less of a hit associated with the cost to mainta
in the cyber store.
