Introduction
Finger Print Bureau is an integral unit in
Policing.
They work in close association with police
stations right from case registration till
disposal.
Their opinion is highly regarded for all
important crime cases.
Hence there is a direct link between crime and
criminals database and Finger Print Bureau.
Objective
Integrate TNFPB activities with CDMS state
database.
Computerize manual procedures/registers at
TNFPB.
Generate alerts on missing records.
Generate annual performance reports and
annual digest automatically from computerized
registers.
Present Working Model

Periodical reviews/reports prepared from
manual registers
Limitations in Present
System
 More than 20 registers are
maintained to record details of
SOC Visit, Daily Arrest Slips,OV
criminals,conviction memo etc

 Due to lack of centralized system,

there is a gap in communication,
delay in sending information and
redundancy in data storage.

 FPBs are hampered with manual
