* Manage entire event production process from client inquiry to proposal and men
u development to execution of event parameters including food and beverage, rent
als, staffing, art direction, entertainment and lighting. Corresponds with clie
nts, departments and vendors via phone, email and fax to arrange change orders a
nd revisions.
* Recruit, select, train, develop, motivate and retain the highest quality team
to provide day-to-day leadership. Ensure Team Member productivity & effectivene
ss by establishing accountable Team Member objectives, consistently mentoring an
d monitoring performance, providing recognition & compensation for good performa
nce, and quickly and effective identifying & resolving substandard performance.
* Help maintain excellent communication channels between members, outside vendor
s and team members by the creation and issuance of a weekly banquet calendar to
all club departments.
* Responsible for proactively increasing sales by searching out new avenues for
business leads. Cold calling and entertaining to create interest in using facili
ty for meetings, social events or parties. Coordinating, creating and executing
promotional marketing bags and maintaining communication and promotions through
marketing and assist corporate marketing team. Maintaining a consistent focus o
n innovation, utilizing inventive thinking, exploration, implementation and prom
otion of new and existing programs.
* Accountable for the collection of all deposits & final balances on all banquet
and conference events. Assist in preparing the annual budget and projecting pay
roll expenditures.
* Supervises internal/external vendors and temporary event staff on pre-event in
stallation and strike; Set up and layout of buffet tabletop design including all
buffet equipment, plates, utensils and baskets.
