I worked as a Teacher and a Coach in Texas for 25 years. Was a Social Studies te
acher and taught every level of Social Studies. I taught and coached at five Hig
h schools C.E. King, Furr, Davis , Chavez and Memorial Hall International School
. I taught ESL course and Advance Placement U..S History. Was was given a bonus
for for my student acheivement on the Stanford 9 test under the Houston Independ
ent Teachers evaluation program in my last three years ,Coached Football on ever
y level and coached all positions except Secondary coach. I was defensive Coordi
nator at Davis and Chavez High Schools and my teams went to the playoffs 5 times
while we were there. and also was Head Track Coach at Furr, Davis, and Chavez H
igh Schools.

I entered into tjhe Marine Corps as a Officer was commision through the Platoo
n Leader Class program after graduation from Lamar University in July of 1981. G
raduated from the Marine Corps basic Officer Course at Quantico, Virginia, and t
hen attended the Field Artillery Basic officer course at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Upo
n graduation reported to my first duty assignment in Fox Battery 2-12, on Okinaw
a, Japan. Held post as Forward Observer, Motor Transport officer, Fire Directio
n Officer and Executive Officer of the Battery. On my return back to the states
in Dec of 1983 wa assigned to Heaquarters Battery 4th Batalion. 11th Marines. S
erved as Assistant Operation Officer and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Office
r. Upon release from Active Duty I served in A Co ist Batallion 23rd Marines. I
served as Rifle Platoon Commander, Weapons Platoon Commander, executive Officer
, and as Acting Commanding Officer for a month.
