serve as General Manager of Start-up Private Bulk Fleet for Chemical Manufactur
er. I increased revenue by more than 50% to $6 million through aggressive distri
bution strategies.
Reduced Cost by $7.3 million during Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Served as SE Region L
ogistics Manager for Smurfit Stone during the filing of the C11 reorganization w
orking with the Paper Mills and Recycle plants. The economic down time of the mi
lls presented unique challenges for traffic lanes and carriers while maintaining
service levels.
Saved over $3 million in cost over 2 years by implementing OTM in Recycle Divisi
on. Division Logistics Manager for Smurfit Stone I implemented the new TMS syste
m, trained the employees and carriers, and helped facilitate the Change Manageme
nt at the facilities to maximize the cost savings by consistently selecting the
least cost carrier usage.
Managed 600,000 Square Feet of warehouse and 30 employees in Union Environment.
Started as a Distribution Manager over 3 warehouses and progressed to Logistics
Manager of 5 warehouses and 2 plants in 2 states. During this time attained cost
savings of over $1 million dollars in waste reduction, pallets, and reduced ove
rall transportation budget by 8%. Reduced inventory variance to .0014% on $14 mi
llion in finished goods.
