Lead C&IS Engineer for the conceptual and definition phases of an expansion of a
n existing amines production facility. This led to the award of a lump sum, 6% e
ngineering project. In order to meet the 6% constraints, this project was worksh
ared with FDIP in Manila. Approximately 90% of the entire C&IS design was done i
n Manila, which required very close coordination with the team there. Establishe
d and managed the responsibilities and workshare split between the two offices.
Project was completed under the 6% engineering budget.

Lead Ex-Pat C&IS Engineer responsible for conceptual, definition and design of n
ew dry laundry granules manufacturing facility. Project was a true global facili
ty that utilized suppliers from throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. This
required strong coordination with these suppliers to ensure that the project ne
eds were met. Project used Allen Bradley PLC 5/80 with WonderWare operator inter
face. Trained FDI - Philippines Control System engineers in P&G methods and stan
dards.

g and Phoenix-area engineering firm utilized for the TDC programming.

for existing dishwashing detergent manufacturing facility. Project was "blitz-pa
ced.a Replaced the 8-year-old Honeywell TDC 2000 with TDC 3000 APM (Advanced Pro
cess Manager) and Universal Operator Stations. Required close coordination with
St. Louis area engineering firm that was utilized for PLC programming and some E
&I design effort.
Procter & Gamble - Bar Soap Modernization Project

Lead Instrumentation Engineer responsible for the definition, design, checkout (
PSI), start-up/commissioning and on-going support of a new soap manufacturing fa
cility and control system modernization for an existing soap manufacturing facil
ity. New facility utilized Honeywell TDC 3000 Process Manager (PM) and Logic Man
ager (LM). Replaced a TDC 2000 and Allen Bradley 2/30 PLC with TDC 3000 PM and L
M as part of the control system modernization.

Lead Instrumentation Engineer responsible for all areas of instrumentation desig
n from definition through detailed design of a household-cleaning product manufa
cturing facility relocation/upgrade. Project replaced existing Allen-Bradley 2/3
0 PLC with A-B 5/250 PLC for control of batch process for (5) different consumer
products.
Union Carbide - DCS Upgrade Project
Sistersville, West Virginia
Lead Instrumentation Engineer for a three-office (Cincinnati, OH; Greenville, SC
; Irvine, CA) Control System Retrofit product for Union Carbide. The project rep
laced 1950 and 1960 Vintage pneumatic controllers in three (3) separate control
rooms with a 2,000 point Bailey Net 90 DCS consisting of (10) operator consoles
in one consolidated control room. Responsible for P&ID walk-down and revisions,
and design and instrument specifications for two (2) of the three (3) production
areas.
General Electric Plastics - Valox DCS Upgrade Project

Project Engineer on a four-phase instrumentation (Valox) modernization project f
or plastics manufacturing facility. This project replaced Taylor 1300 controller
