Work History-
Cornerstone Health Services- 1997-1998. A company providing billing services for
Health Midwest and Kansas University Physicians. I began as a temporary employe
e and was asked to remain permanent due to my productivity. I was given a posit
ion on a billing team specifically for Kansas University Hospital's Surgeons. Re
sponsibilities were filing claims and follow up on claim status. Handling insura
nce correspondence including Explanation of Benefits., as well as appealing clai
ms for more payment.
Pathways Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.- 1998-2001. A substance abuse and mental he
alth treatment facility located throughout the state of Missouri. Responsibiliti
es were obtaining insurance prior authorization for both in-patient and out-pati
ent services. Filing claims and claims follow up. I handled insurance correspond
ence. Also traveled to satellite offices to conduct in-services on the importanc
e of the initial patient intake process. Educated staff on how it effects claims
billing & results in faster claims payment. Audited charts for insurance author
ization for services.

Four Seasons In-Home Health Services- 2000-2003. A company providing health and
respite care services for patients and their families at home. Responsibilities
were providing personal care for all needs of the patient. I cared for the same
patient for 3 years.
Jefferson Healthcare- A long term care facility- 2003-2004. L.P.N. responsible
for staff supervision, patient care, wound care, medication administration, pat
ient assessments and monitoring patient condition. Communicated closely with pat
ients, families and all members of the healthcare team such as physicians, lab t
echnicians, x-ray technicians, nursing staff and Hospice.
Regency Care Center/The Rehabilitation Center of Independence- 2004-2008. A reha
bilitation and long term care facility. L.P.N. Charge Nurse for the Express Reco
very Unit. I completed patient admissions using a thorough documentation process
. I monitored patient conditions and reported changes to the physician. Communic
ated closely with Social Services to ensure patient needs were met prior to home
discharge. Provided staff supervision also. Filed chart documents.
Monterey Park Nursing Center- 2008-2009. A long term care facility. L.P.N. Charg
e Nurse. Responsible for medication administration, staff supervision, monitorin
g and reporting change in patient condition. Communicated closely with all membe

The Villages of Jackson Creek- 2009-2010. A Long term care and rehabilitation fa
cility. L.P.N. Charge Nurse. Duties were medication administration, supervising
resident meal times, providing wound care, implementing C.N.A. Assignments, moni
tored patient condition and reported any changes, communicated will all members
of the healthcare team. Completed patient admissions and discharges. Filed chart
documents. Charged different halls as they were assigned to me on a day-to-day
basis and remained flexible.
