BACKGROUND:
I have over forty years of practical experience in the design, development and
production of unique projects in the Entertainment, Architectural and Aerospace
Industries. These extensive efforts are supported by graduate-level studies in a
rchitectural, structural and mechanical engineering, project management, design
psychology and human physiology. I offer a wide range of communication, contract
generation and compliance as well as administrative control capabilities throug
h strong verbal, graphic and document production skills. My reliably positive an
d confidant attitude, coupled with these many varied project experiences gives m
e a very powerful tool for successful achievement of goals.
FORMAL TRAINING:
BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE,
University Of Oregon, 1984; Design, Philosophy of design, Structural Engineerin
g, Project Management, Fine Arts
SCULPTURE RESIDENCY / ART HISTORY,
Corcoran School Of The Arts, George Washington University, 1974: Design, Sculpt
ure, Drawing, Art History, Photography
SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRONICS SCHOOL, U.S. ARMY,
U.S. Army Signal Corps School, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, 1970; Radio and Radar
Equipment Operations, Repair technology
PRACTICAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
I have accumulated over four decades of responsible performance in all kinds of
mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and related fabrication skills and crafts, in
cluding all of the standard machine, wood, plastics and metal fabrication shop p
ractices. Welding, casting, machining and fabrication of ferrous and non-ferrous
metals in large and small scale projects is a particular strength. These tradit
ional crafts are enhanced by continual development of new capabilities in comput
er technologies, such as servomechanisms, robotics and motion control systems as
typically applied to theme park and show-action equipment control.
PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCES:
Due to the extent of my project list, I have named a selection of recent (last
15 years) projects; I would be pleased to provide exact dates, location and cont
act names and any other information on request. My records and portfolio are ext
ensive and reasonably complete.
