Lead Project Manager, Facilities/Plant Move, Polyswitch Division 1998 - 1999
Oversaw the construction of a new 120k building including managing the project t
eam and directing the physical move of manufacturing operations that generated $
50M in revenue, 250 million component volume from a Raychem subcontractor to new
facility in Juarez, Mexico.
Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Chip Manufacturing, Polyswitch Division 1995
- 1999
* Planned, developed and executed the creation of a Polyswitch subassembly area
that produced 1.5 billion components per year.
* Completely retooled and upgraded factory, converting from operator fed and con
trolled to an automated process.
* Developed new innovative method of producing Polyswitch chips using continuous
rolls. Grew to producing 500 million units.
* Improved quality of chips and downstream assembly yields from 65% to 90%, whic
h greatly increased production volume while reducing cost.
* Increased capacity fivefold with cost reduction in component shaping and testi

* Improved quality of cutting that resulted in a significant reduction of final
