Selected Accomplishments
Improved relationships with vendors, updated and installed new procedures to pro
cess and pay vendor invoices on a timely basis and to take advantage of any disc
ounts offered. This resulted in more favorable treatment by key vendors and resu
lted in better order fulfillment levels.
Decreased computer downtime by redesigning and upgrading poorly designed and per
forming operating computer network and accounting systems. Automated manual syst
ems and thoroughly retrained staff in the use of the new system to produce daily
, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for inventory and receivables processing
.
Reduced payroll preparation time and order entry time through the implementation
of new procedures and custom designed software. Reduced preparation time for pr
oduction of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports by 3-4 days. Through r
etraining and effective, efficient use of computer time, order entry time decrea
sed dramatically reducing order fulfillment time from 25 days to 3 days.
Implemented inventory management system, reducing cancelled orders and charge ba
cks. Implemented innovative systems and procedures that accelerated processing a
nd order fulfillment times due to up to the minute inventory control. After 4 mo
nths, credit card charge backs were only 5% of what they had previously been.
Reduced audit fees by $75K by creating a workable accounting and back office sys
tem for a software start up company owned by an Australian architectural firm. S
ystem incorporated the ability to create custom designed space-planning software
packages and manuals for its clients. The original production process, which to
ok several weeks, could now be packaged and transmitted within a half hour, cons
equently producing significant savings on annual audit fees.

Controller, Adapt Media, Inc. 2005 - 2007. Adapt Media, Inc. provides digital ad
vertising services using a fleet of taxis equipped with digital displays utilizi
ng Light Emitting Diodes and Liquid Crystal Displays. I was responsible for all
accounting, budgeting, bank relationships, and financial reporting. This involve
d preparing various reports for the CEO and the Board of Directors. In addition,
I was often called upon to consult with other departments in an effort to make
sure the best practices and procedures were always followed and the expected res
ults were achieved.
Controller, Etronics.com, 2002-2004. Etronics.com was a $70 million Internet ret
ailer of photographic and electronics items. Directed daily, monthly and annual
financial reporting and audits. Supervised staff of 2 responsible for A/P and A/
R. Also responsible for daily cash flow reporting and monitoring of credit card
receipts and charge backs. Also analyzed and recommended policies and procedure
s related to bad checks, money orders. credit card denials and various other act
ivities.
Controller, Inter-Ocean Industries Inc., 1993-2001. Inter-Ocean Industries, Inc:
was a $40 million Importer/Exporter of Electronics. Directed daily, monthly an
d annual financial reporting and audits. Responsible for A/R, A/P and payroll. A
nalyzed purchases and sales for profitability. Responsible for daily bank relati
onships comprised of cash management, negotiation of international letters of cr
edit and purchases of foreign currencies including hedging.
Principal Partner, Feldman and Feldman Consulting, 1990-1993. A computer-consult
ing firm providing sales, training and support for various computerized accounti
ng systems including Real World, Synchronics, Macola, New Views, MVP, One-Write-
Plus, Money Matters, DAC-Easy, Account Mate, Inner Track and various vertical ap
plications. Provided programming services as well as training office staffs in c
omputer languages and the use of Lotus 1-2-3, Windows, MS/PC-Dos, Windows, WordP
erfect, dBase and FoxPro. Wrote macros to expand accounting information not incl
uded in accounting systems financial reporting packages and report writers. Also
provided accounting services to various firms on a per diem basis.
Financial Manager, Drover Technologies, 1989 - 1990. Drover was a US based softw
are start-up with an Australian parent. Created financial accounting system from
scratch. Interfaced with auditors and banks. Oversaw production of software and
shipping to clients of complete space planning software titles. Oversaw invento
ry and maintained relations with customers. Interfaced with Australian parent in
terms of reporting on operations, budgets and sales.
Controller, Mall on Fifth Avenue/Prestige Trade Group. 1988-1989. Two companies
with the same ownership. The Mall was a mail order company that was in start up
mode. Prestige was an importer/wholesaler of various products. Directed and over
saw daily, monthly and annual financial reporting and audits for both. Controlle
d inventory and oversaw collections and payments including international transac
tions. Oversaw operations of fulfillment services and warehouses. Kept track of
responses to ads on an ad by ad basis to analyze profitability on a product and
ad basis.

ting consultancy providing support services for CPA firms and others. Also provi
ded training and support services for various computerized accounting and office

al steel fabricator using percentage of completion accounting and billing. Overs

ing and computer services. Interfaced with accountants, banks, subcontractors, g
eneral contractors and architects. Worked with management, estimators and projec
t managers to analyze and maintain project costs and records.
Auditor, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, New Jersey, 1974-1975 and New York. 1975-1976.
Participated in audits of hospitals and nursing homes for Medicare, Medicaid and
Blue Cross reimbursements. Also handled cost report examinations and final sett
lements.
