Legal Assistant/DUI Consultant (Oct 2007-July 2009)
My job duties consisted of answering phones, consulting with and retaining new c
lients, scheduling and calendaring new court dates, DMV hearings and client/atto
rney appointments. I subpoenaed the crime lab for records, consulted with and ke
pt clients updated on their cases, appearance dates, etc. I also opened and clos
ed all cases, collected and kept track of monies paid and owed, drafted letters
to DA's, Driver's Safety Officers, crime lab technicians, etc. I requested recor
ds and discovery, expedited blood splits on cases when necessary, filed minute o
rders, expungements, and motions with the courts, corresponded with forensic sci
entists, as well as the investigators involved in particular cases, and transcri
bed cases when requested.
Legal Assistant/DUI Consultant (Apr 2003-Oct 2007)
I began working for the Law Offices of Kevin G. DeNoce in 2003. I was hired as a
temporary legal assistant, but after approximately three months Mr. DeNoce aske
d me to stay on permanently as he was impressed with my ability to run his offic
e efficiently and professionally. He trained me to become a DUI consultant and t
o do the work of a paralegal. My duties were that of what was listed above, as w
ell as many others. In October of 2007, Mr. DeNoce was appointed to the bench as
a Superior Court Judge at the Ventura County Court House. Of course I was delig
hted, but soon realized that I was without a job. To my surprise, I was immediat
ely offered several jobs and chose to work for the law firm mentioned above.
Legal Transcriptionist (2001-2010)
I own and operate a legal transcription service. I work for several attorneys do
ing legal transcribing, not only on witness/suspect interviews, but DMV hearings
, as well as court proceedings. I own and operate all of the necessary equipment
involved in legal transcribing services.
Private Investigator Assistant (1999-2010)
I have worked closely with a private investigator as a part-time assistant. I ha
ve over 10 years of legal experience in Ventura County. I have been trained in c
riminal matters such as homicides, capital murders, kidnappings, sexual assaults
, drug and DUI matters, theft, assault and battery cases, etc.
Skills:
My strengths include having the knowledge and ability to answer client questions
and keep them updated on their cases, which allows the attorneys time to work o
n the more important tasks at hand. I strive to maintain a professional, pleasan
t, and understanding attitude with clients at all times. My work ethics are abov
e standard. I am punctual. I work quickly and accurately and have the ability to
multi-task. I am proactive when it comes to solving problems and making decisio
ns and am actively oriented with my surroundings. I have outstanding customer se
rvice skills and judgment. I take a genuine interest in the company and believe

I am currently taking an online Paralegal course in order to obtain an AA degree
as a paralegal.
1990-1993 Clark Business College Santa Maria, CA
I attended Clark Business College for approximately three years for Court Report
ing. Unfortunately, the school closed before I could finish the course.
