05-07 to 09-10 Deputy Sheriff Detentions

Vista Detention Facility. Duties include, review and adhere to current policy an
d procedures. Successfully completed ALPS training. Instructor for the PAT CORE
classes for the Jail Classification portion. Retired 09/17/10.

04-02 to 05-07 Jail Population and Management Unit (Classification)


San Diego Central Jail. Duties include classifying, housing, and transferring of
inmates. Screen, review, and submit the daily inmate transfers for all faciliti
es throughout the county. Responsible for interviewing and housing all protectiv
e custody and administratively segregated inmates. Provide line up training peri
odically for line staff and professional staff. Submit Formal Interview forms to
the Sheriff's gang unit on all gang members. Instructor for Detentions/Court Se
rvices Academy for 6 hour Classification session. Serve as the Terrorist Liason
Officer for the Jail Population Unit.

02-98 to 04-02 Deputy Sheriff Detentions


Detentions Services Bureau, San Diego Central Jail and South Bay Detention Facil
ity. Duties include, review and adhere to current policy and procedures. Select
ed as a Training Officer at SDCJ. Duties included, participation in current S.T
.C. training, update outdated S.T.C. training, review and rewrite of the DFOB fa
cility (green sheets). Train newly assigned deputies and supervisors in the Cen
tral Command Center (CCC). Served as a trouble-shooter for CCC, a specialized p
osition and was assigned as Tactical Team Leader.

Supervisor of the U.S. Navy Police (Asst. Chief of Police NAVCOMTELSTA). Respon
sible for writing performance evaluations on personnel (20). Was the Career Cou
nselor to assist in retention and had a retention rate of 94% for the unit.
