- Tracked job status using Primavera outage management software and provided det
ailed reports during the October 2006 outage.
Attended the 2010 License class. Completed the SRO Qualification card. Overall
average before the Audits Comprehensive test was an 89%.
Nuclear Engineer, Norfolk Naval Shipyard 2000 - 2006
Develop, supervised and managed repair work on nuclear systems in various ships
throughout the shipyard. Lead radiological control engineer for a decommissioni
ng project.
Past projects include the lead radiological control engineer for the USS Rickov
er and USS Truman.
Lead engineer responsible for rewriting a critical work instruction that was ri
ddled with errors and was not updated for over five years.
Created an instruction to aid the newly hired engineers when they were standing
the back shift watch as the codes only point of contact for emergent work.
United States Navy, Nuclear Submarine Engineering Officer 1978 - 2000

Responsible for the training and qualification of entire crew. Additionally, as
sisted the men with several personal issues to completion. Developed a comprehe
nsive management plan that provided a smooth transition for a high turnover of s
enior personnel, including a new Commanding Officer, Engineer, and eleven chiefs
.
Contributed significantly in the ship obtaining Above Average results in a surp
rise Operational Reactor Safeguard Exam (ORSE) and an overall Outstanding on a s
hort notice Navy Technical Proficiency Inspection in the same patrol cycle.
Identified by the Squadron Commander as being a significant motivator and cause
for the ship being the recipient of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet Ballistic Missile S
ubmarine Performance Award.
Submarine Liaison Officer: COMCARGRU FOUR
As an 04, selected to a senior Commander billet (post-CO) as the Carrier Battle
Group Antisubmarine Warfare Commander. Coordinated submarines operations that r
elated to the carrier battle group operations and to provide the battle group th
e protection required from enemy submarines.

Acted as the Engineer (as a Department Head) for eight months, the gap was due
to a medical departure.
Reactors giving him the naval technical code as a supervisor of a nuclear power
plant.
Every division or department under his authority scored at or above average on
every ORSE.
Took the initial immediate actions to combat various plant casualties, includin
g; a minor steam leak in the engine room, restoring the plant during a dropped c
ontrol rod casualty, a fire while underway in the oxygen generator and a loss of
main feed pressure that required going to single loop operation.
