FY2011 SPA Abstract

This Excel workbook has been developed as a tool to help Volunteers fulfill their reporting requirements for the Small Project
Assistance (SPA) grant program. The data you collect will be transmitted to Peace Corps/Washington to be used for internal
Peace Corps reporting and inclusion in the SPA Annual Report submitted to USAID/Washington. Project information and data
may also be shared with the in-country USAID Mission.

Upon approval of the project, you should complete all four sections of the SPA Project Abstract and send this document to
the SPA Coordinator, for review. If you do not have access to a computer, you may fill this form out by hand and submit it to
the SPA Coordinator in hardcopy.

Upon completion of the project, you are required to submit a SPA Completion Report. You should keep a copy of the
completed SPA Project Abstract for reference when filling out your Completion Report.

SOME NOTES ABOUT THIS WORKBOOK:

YELLOW SHADING: In order to simplify the grant proposal process, all areas that require your input are shaded in yellow. All
other information will fill automatically or be completed by Peace Corps staff.

COMMENTS ON CERTAIN CELLS: Please take note of red triangle at the top right corner of certain cells (including this
one). These have been included on many cells to help guide users through each step of the process.
HOW DO I HIT RETURN TO START A NEW PARAGRAPH IN A CELL? Please remember: if you want to start a new line
within the same cell, you must hit "Alt + Enter"; simply hitting "Enter" will jump to the next cell.
PROTECTED SHEETS: Each one of these sheets is protected and will allow data only to be entered in areas that are shaded
in yellow. This is done to ensure that the all data that is entered is of the correct type to be used in reporting within Peace
Corps.
PRINTING THIS REPORT: The pages in this workbook are set up to be printer-friendly. The default settings will print only the
sheet that you are in. If you would like to print the whole workbook at the same time, go to 'File > Print' and under "Print what"
select "Entire workbook."

Additional Information for Peace Corps/Washington SPA staff:

In the box below, post staff may include any additional and important information related to the SPA project that is not
otherwise captured in this form. (For example, if the project has received a waiver, if the project was transferred from one
Volunteer to another, etc.)
