TAKING PRINTOUT OF PDF AND WORD DOCUMENTS

Connect the Pen Drive to the port. Wait for some seconds. The following window will come (USB Disk Security). Close it by clicking ‘X’ in
the window as shown below.

Click the ‘Continue without scanning’ button to proceed.

Click “Open folder to view files” to see the files in the Pen Drive.

As shown below, there are two folders and two files. The first two icons represent folders and the remaining icons represent PDF and
Word documents respectively. First, take the printout of PDF file. The file name is ‘electrical_electronics’. Double click it.

Clicking the file opens the PDF document in a small window. You can maximize it by clicking the Maximize button in the window.

In the keyboard, press ‘Ctrl+P’ to bring Print window.

In the Print window, you can select the Printer by clicking Pull down menu.

As a next step, we can choose the required page numbers to take print. Either we can choose ‘All’ pages, ‘Current’ page or we can
enter the required page numbers using keyboard. Eg: “1-7”, “1,3,4,7”, “2-5,7” etc.

Now you can enter the number of copies required using keyboard or by clicking the small button next to Copies.

After finishing, click OK button.

Wait till printing completes.

After finishing, close the window by clicking ‘X’ button.

To take the Printout of Word document, open the file by double clicking it. The file name is ‘Template New’.

This will open the Word file in Microsoft Word 2007. Now in the keyboard, press “Ctrl+P”. This will open the Print window.

Like PDF, 1st you can select the Printer.

Then you can select the required pages to print similar to PDF.

Then you can enter the number of copies required. That also similar to PDF.

As an advanced setting, you can select the number of Pages Per Sheet if required.

If the document is not in A4 size, you can select that also. Its under ‘Scale to paper size’.

After finishing, Click OK.

Wait for some seconds to finish printing and close the window by clicking ‘X’.

To remove the Pen Drive, click the icon shown in the bottom right. That icon is for ejecting the media(Pen Drive).

Clicking the icon brings a small pop-up. In that, click the respective Pen Drive(USB Disk).

If it is safe, a small pop-up appears. “Safe To Remove Hardware”. If it didn’t come, do the procedure again.

You can open the Pen Drive or CD/DVD from My Computer also. Double click Computer icon in the Desktop.

Pen Drives and CD/DVDs will be listed under ‘Devices with Removable Storage’. You can open the required device by double clicking it.
